Neither Black Nor White matches my cabinets. Can I paint the grill of the heater? If so, can it be removed for painting? And what kind of paint do you recommend?

Thank you for your question.
We don’t recommend that you paint the grill. We use a powder coating that is baked on and paint will not properly adhere to the heater.
In addition, altering the heater in this manner will void the warranty.

This heater is specifically designed to be installed under a cabinet. The fan inside the heater does a great job of moving air preventing the unit from getting too hot where it would damage the cabinet. Be sure to adhere to the clearance requirements outlined in the owner's guide and I think you will find this is a great heater for under your cabinets.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best toe kick heater ever! Just replaced two original heaters from this company that lasted 24 years! New ones work great and are very quiet! GREAT product! December 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice little heater I wanted to supplement the HVAC heat going into my small 12x8 master bath, so I added this kick-space heater. It is for supplemental heat only, not trying to heat the whole room. Many products are wired for 220, but I only had a 110/115 circuit to wire it into. I was able to run a new 15amp circuit for this heater, and would suggest doing that to anyone. Keep in mind that if you run the heater and use a blow dryer on the same circuit, you may find yourself resetting the breaker from time to time. So, if possible, add a dedicated circuit for the heater. (yes, I had an electrician do that part.) I can't really testify to other characteristics, like, quality, durability, features, etc. It is simple to use - flip it ON or flip it OFF. Nothing to tough in that regard. The most challenging part was cutting out the toe-kick under the cabinet, and running the wire for its own circuit. I read some reviews that talked about a rattle, or a high noise level. I can only say that I did tape down the extra wire in the box during the hook-up steps, to keep the wire and the wire nuts from vibrating on anything and away form the motor. As for noise, it hums like a hair-dryer on a low setting. I did have to buy a Halex 3/4 in. Non-Metallic (NM) Twin-Screw Clamp Connector to run the Romex power cable into the box. These come in a pak of 5 and you only need one. I wish they would have just included it in the parts package, but what can I say. December 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love our Perfectoe Heaters? In 2013-2014 we built a new home. We wanted this home to be 100% right. While our previous homes all had central heat in the bathrooms there were always a few winter mornings that were cold because of the uneveness of central heat. We wanted the Perfecttoe heaters to be a supplemental source of heat in the bathrooms. We wanted somehthing we could turn on and take that chill out of the bathrooms. Winter of 2014 in New England was another record setter. We are so happy we installed Perfectoe heaters in all 3 bathrooms. We installed them with timer switches. They are the perfect addition to the bathrooms and have done exactly what we wanted them to do. We love them! March 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works OK Kick panel heater works OK for year by now. It does what it supposed to do with few problem areas to mention. First sometimes temperature safety kicks in and needs to be reset without any apparent reason. Second sometimes it is gets noisy with vibrations of the body especially front cover. Obviously two front screws are checked and tight, but still it produces buzz. It seems it gets in to resonance frequency with rotating motor. Touching it with foot stops buzzing. It seems only two screws for louvered front panel is not adequate. Last is the motor came from factory basically dry with no oil in the bearings. It started produce noise once turned on immediately. It is easy to solve though. These motors are low load, low power require relatively thin oil film. Any non-detergent (non automotive) oil with viscosity of 5-10 should work. I used non-detergent synthetic polyol based 5W HVAC oil with high heat tolerance. Motor noise was gone right away. Not sure how often it will need to be done though. If bearings are made from porous bronze (if they are correctly made?) it should last years. Do not over-oil though as dust and dirt goes through heater and it will accumulate on sticky oil. All in all product is good, but it feels like half-made, so you have to work with your children on weekend to finish design and complete it to perfection. March 27, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just replacing after 13 years of service. This unit was installed under the sink in our bathroom and has worked flawlessly for 13 years. It didn't come on this morning and despite hitting the thermal reset button it still will not run. I'm not even thinking of purchasing a different model since this one worked so well. March 30, 2014
