Would this baseboard heater be good for use in a bathroom?
Asked by: don
Hello Don, thank you for your question! Yes, this heater would be good for a 75-100 square foot bathroom as a main source of heat. Please note baseboards require a foot of clearance in front and above the heater, and six inches of both sides from adjacent surfaces. Please see owners guide below. http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/c2/c2ef6436-8725-4f63-95fc-b856f444fb10.pdf

What size heater would I use for a 9ft x 9ft room with 8ft ceiling? Room is at corner of house. Thanks

Example: I have looked at the manual and can't figure out what I did wrong.
Asked by: Neil
Hello Neil, thank you for your question! The EBHN750W heater will be a great fit for your room. It is designed to heat rooms up to about 125 square feet. As a general rule we recommend between 6-10 watts per square foot. If this is the primary heat source, or you have an older home built before 2000, have lots of windows or high ceilings, or live in a colder climate, you will want to be at the top end of that range. If this is a secondary heat source for the home, or the home was built after 2000, has normal windows and ceilings, or you live in a warmer climate, you can be at the bottom of the range.

Had an electrician install it because of the location and nee to run new 240 wiring to the breaker box. Heat is even and the unit is quiet. Takes while to heat up our sunroom but once it does, it holds the set point. Installed December 2016.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beats the standard baseboard heaters Got this to replace a baseboard heater that had a high pitched "cycling" whine, had if for 3 weeks. It was installed by an electrician. The pitch was that this Hydronic Baseboard Heater was quieter & more efficient. Regarding quiet, the whine is gone & there is less snap, crackle, & pop than typical baseboards. Strangely once it did make some popping noises every 10-20 seconds for 3-5 minutes. Other than that it has been quiet. It does take longer to heat the room, but cycles less. I don't have any way to measure the efficiency. Overall we are satisfied & certainly prefer this to the standard baseboard heater.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good... Just got these installed last week (1st week Feb). Relatively easy to install. This style does not come with a bracket like the old ones and the old brackets could not be attached to this so the hardest part seemed to be making a bracket to put between the heater and the wall (they cannot be installed directly against paper backed walls such as drywall). Heats nicely. makes a few minor noises (indicating that they are heating) but barely noticable. They look amazing although the "front plate" (that covers the heating element) seems slightly flimsy when taking off (to clean the element yrly) because of how long it is and there is no center hook to brace it against. We chose these heaters because they are the "adult children" of the interthermal ones we replaced (Cadet obtained the patent for interthermal's heaters. The interthermal's we had were from Aug 73 so they lasted almost 38 yrs-we are praying that the cadets will last at least half as long).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellent Although, I just ordered my replacement unit today, it is replacing a unit I've had for 44 years. Hopefully, the quality will still be the same. I also have longer units (higher wattage) that have made noise in the past. The salesman that I purchased them from, back then, suggested loosening some screws that holds the element into the unit. This has worked very well over the years, that I've had them. Maybe someone's noise problems can be elemininated by using this technique. I hope this information helps someone enjoy their added heat as much as I have. Al, Indiana

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product I would recommend this product it works well and looks nice. I think it is a rip off they do not include thermostats and the installation is not as easy as they make it sound. If you are good with electrical work easy but if you are a laymen like me I recommend having a professional do the install.
