my decades old electric baseboard (non-hydronic) has built in thermostats. it appears yours come separately. are they hard to install, or do you have models with the built-in temp control?
Asked by: wendy
Hello Wendy, thank you for your question! These thermostats are not very hard to install, in fact you put them in during the wiring process of the baseboard. We always recommend a license electrician for the installation. Please see link below for the Softheat onboard thermostat kit. http://www.homedepot.com/p/SoftHeat-EBKN-Series-Double-Pole-Integral-22-Amp-End-Cap-Thermostat-Kit-in-White-EBKNW/100120925?keyword=ebknw

How much does it cost per day one hundred foot square area

Asked by: Robert7337
Hello, thank you for your question! The cost to run this unit would depend on the amount of time the unit is being ran for and your kilowatts per hour cost in your area. Since 750 watts is .75 kilowatts, the formula would be (your hourly cost per kilowatt) x .75 kilowatts x (Hours of use) = Cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install and effective Installation was the easiest part It is a basic 240v junction box you wire. The housing gives you a lot of versatility and creative freedom for mounting I mounted mine above existing baseboards instead of cutting them out The lid comes off very easily so you can clean and vacuum effortlessly It takes about 5 minutes to really start to feel the heat coming from it which I think is acceptable. Makes no noise at all. I would recommend spending just a little bit more money on the SoftHeat EBHN Series Double-Pole Integral 22 Amp End Cap Thermostat Kit. It connects to the side of the unit and you never have to worry about flipping a switch to turn it on. I have this in an 8x14 sun room and it is able to maintain low 60's inside easily when the temps outside are in the high 30s

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor finish This baseboard heater does not include a thermostat. It can only be wired from the one side only, and you must purchase either a left hand or right hand model - center wiring is not an option. The heater has no moving parts, and no fan, it uses convention to heat the room. A large tube is filled with a safe fluid and surrounded with heat fins. The fluid heats up and slowly releases the heat. The heater will continue to radiate heat once it reaches the required temperature as the fluid emits all the stored heat. The paint finish was a little rough, with an area missing paint. This area was visible when looking down on the heater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy ti install and works great! I installed this product in my cabin as an additional heat source to the wood stove. It works great and helps maintain a warm and comfortable temperature in the upstairs area. It wasn't too difficult to install, but it does require a thermostat that must be purchased separately. It has a sleek low profile design so no worries with trying to hide it or design around it. For the price, this product is a hit!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from cadsoft heater Installation was pretty straight forward with little difficulty. Product did not work after I installed. Finally had my electrician look at it and he found a defective safety switch shutoff. Was going to order another but out of stock until December. Had electrician wire around switch but can't leave it unattended or on at night.
