Customer Questions & Answers

what thermostat goes with?

Asked by: Donald
Hi Donald and thank you for your question. If you would like a unit mount thermostat the EBKNWS is a great option. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cadet-SoftHeat-EBHN-Series-Double-Pole-Integral-22-Amp-End-Cap-Thermostat-Kit-White-Sand-EBKNWS/202884443 For wall mount thermostat options please look at the T410A Single Pole or the T410B double pole. The single pole does not have an off setting, whereas the double pole has a positive off setting. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cadet-Single-Pole-22-Amp-120-240-Volt-Wall-Mount-Mechanical-Non-programmable-Thermostat-in-White-T410A-W/202247917 http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cadet-Double-Pole-22-Amp-120-240-Volt-Wall-Mount-Mechanical-Non-programmable-Thermostat-in-White-T410B-W/202502063 If you prefer a digital thermostat please take a look at the TH110. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cadet-Double-Pole-16-Amp-208-240-Volt-Electronic-7-Day-Programmable-Thermostat-in-White-TH110/202247919

Right vs left hand baseboard heat

I want to order a baseboard heater, but not sure if I need a right or left hand one. Looking at the wall its goin on, the elctric is on my right hand side. Does that mean I need a right hand electric heater?
Asked by: Anonymous
The terms "Lefthand" or "Righthand" refers to the side of the heater that the wires will be connected when you are facing the wall. You should pick a baseboard heater where the junction box in the wall is closest to the side of the heater you will be wiring. When you put the heater up against the wall, if the junction box is on the right side of the heater, you should choose "Righthand" wiring. If the junction box is on the left side, you should choose "Lefthand" wiring. Thanks
