Purchased to be used in a 20' x 10' shop, this does the job it was intended for! Installation was easy and operation simple; and the price was right. You can not ask for a better combination than that!

I am a restoration contractor and have several of these to assist with drying. Some homes have a 6-30 outlet for air conditioning, so this works perfect. Others have 6-20 outlet, and I have the 4000 watt version to. I can also run these off my generator, my electrician made an adapter. These are my go to heaters for drying. I have a 6000 watt heater that will only work in a newer dryeroutlet. Cost almost twice as much. You can't beat this for value.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SQNE Excellent heater. Fast startup, quiet and great blower.
This heater is well worth the money. I tried a much cheaper model and the fan wouldn't even turn. This heater will put out some heat. I have a 24 x 24 fully insulated garage and it can take it from 40 to 60 in no time and keep it there. The thermostat and high/low settings are very nice. It runs quiet enough, much quieter than a torpedo style. You can still hold a conversation or watch TV. The sides and back are cool to the touch. I installed mine on an older style TV swivel so I can direct the heat in almost any direction. I also run a ceiling fan as my garage ceiling is around 12 foot high.

I ordered this unit online, tried getting one at the store but nobody carried these in stock. While waiting for the arrival of my unit, I hired an electrition to install a 30 amp 240v outlet in my basement near the area where I have my home office. After two weeks of anticipation it finally arrived. Immediately after opening the box I headed to the basement to give it a wirl. Read the instructions and plugged it in. Heater got hot, in fact very hot. After about a minute, it shut itself off. Waited a few minutes for it cool down, and turned it on again only for a repeat of the same thing. It would get hot, blower would not come on and after about a minute it would overheat and shut itself off. Immediately I called cadet and explained the situation and it was determined that my brand new $327 heater was defective. Very dissapointing. Took it to my local HomeDepot and they refunded my credit card. Since I had a outlet installed specifically for this heater, I'm going to purchase one more and hope for best. I'm actually placing my order for a new one today.

I needed a heater for my RV "Man Cave" 30' x 35' garage and decided to with this unit. I did have to make a 30 amp plug to 30 amp plug conversion power cord extension since the 240 VAC plug that comes with the unit is a three wire (comes with a somewhat outdated 30 amp connector). My outlet in the garage was a 4 wire with a separate ground. After making the adapter with parts from home depot, I was able to mount it above a work surface area. The garage is not fully insulated and to my surprise this heater was able to bring the temp from 38 degrees to 60 degrees in just a few hours. Very quiet operation and I love the fact it has two temp settings. It also looks great!

Bought one for the garage, and after running an hour the garage was no warmer. Bought a second one and ran both for two hours. The ambient temperature when I turned them on was 15F. Two hours later is was 16F. I placed my hand on the front grill and it was as cool as a cucumber. Both heaters were drawing 21 amps at 240V. These seem better suited to warming air by circulation, but here in the Northeast this heater can barely heat a small closet. Returned them both. Very disappointing.

I installed this heater in my cabin just to keep the temperature above 55 degrees when I'm not there . Even when the temperature got down to 10 degrees outside, it held at 55. The cabin is about 588 sq. feet. I was worried it would be running alot when the temp. did get low and it didn't. Maybe on for 5 minutes and off for 15. Installing the 220 line only took about 3 hours. Great little heater !!

The heater had a small problem when first turned on - the fan blade was making slight contact with the protective screen in front. Using an Allen wrench I was able to move the fan assembly slightly back on its shaft, and now it is functioning very well.
Would recommend the manufacturer run a quality assurance test on assembled machines before shipping to consumers.
