Thank you for the interest in the California Air Tools 1610A Ultra Quiet Ar Compressor. Please check the CFM requirement of your impact gun. The 1610A produces 2.35 CFM @ 90 PSI. Thank you

Is this powerful enough to blow out a sprinkler system (by zone)?

The longest sprinkler zone I have is about 250' with ten spray heads. I can isolate each zone to blow out.
Asked by: grandpa9
Thank you for the interest in the California Air Tools 1610A Ultra Quiet Air Compressor. We suggest using the California Air Tools 5510SE. The 5510SE has a 5.5 Gal. air tank giving you more air at start up. We also suggest isolating into small zones if necessary. Thank you

Customer Reviews

1.6 Gal. 1 HP Ultra Quiet and Oil-Free Aluminum Tank Air Compressor is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 80.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine! I replaced a "pancake" type compressor that was mounted in the engine room of a sport fishing boat I captain with the California Air 1610A. The compressor supplies the air needed to open and close the air door to enter the boat along with the air horns and small air tools. The old compressor was noisy to a degree that it could be heard inside the boat when it would run. The California Air is so quiet I can be in the engine room and not even realize it is running at times. Great compressor and very light weight too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product - Recommended This is a great little compressor for a unit in this size/weight category. The compressor motor/unit is based on those created for reliable use in the dental industry which can cost a lot more money than what you will pay here. It is indeed very quiet for an air compressor and has a fast recovery rate for a unit of this size. It is great for general use, running air nailers, small air tools, pumping up tires, etc... It is also light enough to be moved easily. Great product and certainly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice compressor but pay attention to what comes in the box My compressor arrived in good shape with excellent packaging. It started up easily and ran smoothly and quietly. The unit does not shake when in service and it is quiet enough to speak in a normal voice while standing next to it and still be heard. It is also lightweight and easy for me (female) to carry around. Please note: the only item in the box other than the compressor is an air filter. If needed you are required to purchase air hose, couplings, accessory tools, and such separately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY QUIET COMPRESSOR, GREAT AIR DELIVERY Bought this compressor to do Airbrush work. It is very quiet, and the air delivery is greater than a noisy higher horsepower model that I also own. The only thing I can say negative about it is the supplied regulator, it is cheap. But on the plus side I had plans to replace it anyway with a 60PSI full scale regulator and good filter/water separator. I am very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great and it certainly is quiet. I purchased this model because I placed a premium on having a quiet machine. I also like the compact design. It works great and it certainly is quiet so I am very pleased so far. I rated the value at four-star because the unit is relatively expensive compared with others of similar capability. If it holds up with time it will be well worth the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is what I expected. It works well and is very light and quiet. It fits well in my truck and is light for me to carry it to where I need it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very quiet compressor Incredibly quiet. It's actually comfortable to have a conversation when the compressor is running. It's heavy, but still easily portable. The small tank size is less of a problem than I thought it might be simply because it's less irritating when it runs. Excellent tool for small nailing jobs, as an alternative to canned air for cleaning, or any job which only requires a small compressor. The reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5 star is that the regulator is a little finicky (it works, but takes more tinkering than it should) and that the copper supply line from the tank to the pressure switch is poorly done. Other than those two small issues, build quality is excellent. I think I've sold several of them to my friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from California Air Tools Is The Best I mainly bought the California Air Tools 1 Horsepower 1.6 Gallon air compressor because I wanted to use it to fill my car and truck tires on a regular basis. I used to use a small compressor that I had to plug into a power socket in my vehicle. That compressor took a long time to pump just a couple of pounds into my tires. It seems that most of my car tires and truck tires leak a little bit over time. In the winter I had to run the vehicle when I used my small compressor which meant I had to keep the garage door open in the freezing cold weather. I had enough of that so I bought my new larger compressor. When I first used the California compressor I broke it in by opening the tank valve and running it for about 20 minutes. Then I closed the tank valve and it took about 50 seconds to fill and shut off. I filled my truck tires in a few seconds as opposed to about 30 minutes with my old small compressor. Now I don't have to keep the garage door open in the winter any more. Yea! As advertised the California compressor is extremely quiet. It only weighs about 39 pounds so you can move it around easily. The build quality is excellent. I also used it to air blow some debris in my work area and to blow up a basketball which only took a couple of seconds. I like the aluminum tank also. It should never rust out. Just remember to open the tank valve (and plug your ears) when you are finished using it. This will drain out any water that accumulates during the compression process. The newly designed drain valve is a major improvement over the old one. All in all, this compressor was a great investment for me. I can think of a lot of other things I can use it for in the future.
