This is the first twin tank compressor I have ever owned that doesn't throw my back out when lifting in and out of my work vehicle. It is also the quietest twin tank oilless that I have ever heard - it makes about as much noise as a refrigerator. Although far superior to my Emglo and Senco twins, I am disappointed in the air delivery running my Hitachi framing nailer as it is unable to keep up with rapid fire for sheathing. A major design flaw, in my opinion, is the power switch location. The lever is right near the relief pin so the pin frequently gets inadvertently pulled while turning on or off. On the upside, the quick-release tank drain makes it easy to bleed out condensation at the end of the day.

First I guess these guys CTools made this same model number for Husky. I bought the Husky and it only lasted 8 months and completely died. Now Home Depot has discontinued the Husky model for some reason. I had to go through a bunch of hoops because the California tools model same model number cost a lot more. This item is only sold online but Home Depot upgraded my return that's why am leaving five stars. I just hope this one doesn't die and eight months but there is a one-year warranty.

This is by far the quietest compressor I have ever heard! I use this in a concession tent under my front table and don't even realize it's running when I'm talking to a customer, the air smasher I use makes far more noise than the compressor, I would even go as far as to say the interaction with the customer is louder. The aluminum tanks make it lightweight and easy to carry. I highly recommend this to anyone needing a truly quiet compressor.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Metalsmith Pretty good
Quiet in comparison to other brands found at hardware stores. Can easily carry a conversation with it running indoors and in a small room (450 sq ft) I'd be very interested to hear how much louder the larger motor version is.
The manual recommends not continuously running it so that the electric motor is on for more than an hour.

The compressor is very good, but not as quiet as I expected. Dewalt has a comparable 60-70db compressor for 220 so this is on the pricey end but def worth it if you work indoors in an occupied home

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sparky Best air compressor I've ever had.
I like airbrushing scale models and sometimes I work past midnight this air compressor is quiet enough that it dosen't wake the wife and that would be bad, and I like the portability as I can take it with me to hobby meets and it wouldn't cause any disturbance to other modelers. thank you for making such a great product and I would advise anyone looking for a quiet air compressor to look into this 4610A air compressor from California Air Tools.
