CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Converted brew pot from propane to electric When I decided to convert my brew kettle from propane to electric I chose this particular element because it was the most powerful ultra low watt density element for the price, anywhere. Ultra Low Watt Density elements are recommended because they do not concentrate the heat in a small area and scorch the wort. I cut my time to boil almost in half. Though I had bend the element somewhat to fit in the pot it did not crack and worked like it should. Once you convert your kettle to electric you will never go back to gas. You will also need to get a 9-10k watt SCR power controller from the other big online retailer that starts with A to control the temperature so when the hot break happens, using the controller, you can turn down the power and keep it from boiling over. Later crank it back up to about 80% power to keep a rolling boil. July 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as expected. Did the work myself and saved hundreds. Pretty "cut and dry". I shut off the water, flipped the breaker, unscrewed the bad element and replaced with the new one. You will need to purchase a special tool to get the element out. I think that was another 7 or 8 bucks. Anyone with electrical skills can detect if the element is actually bad. The replacement is very easy. Just be sure to shut off the water and the power; obviously, you'll be in big trouble if there is water pressure or electricity when you go to unscrew the bad element. This is the very reason professionals charge hundreds for this simple task. October 11, 2014
