DO OUTSIDE HEATERS NEED A DRAIN PAN?

Asked by: RP
No, unless you don't want it dripping on the ground.

Where does this drain pan drain off to if its mounted in doors on a wall. I don't think it would just drip to the floor.

Asked by: Al
Usually you plumb it to a floor drain (by the AC or water heaters).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I used this item for something other than a Tankless water heater This item worked perfectly for a catch basin under an automatic dog watering bowl inside my house. If the bowl ever overfilled, this allowed the water to be drained to an appropriate place, not all over the floor. It was exactly what I was looking for. In my opinion, it was over priced for what it is, but it worked perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as you'd expect. The drain pan is exactly what you'd expect from the picture. It installed easily and serves the purpose well. I haven't had any leaks for it to catch yet, but it should work out great.
