Product Overview

The newest edition to the ever expanding line of Camp Chef Propane Fire Pits has arrived, the Redwood. Based on the original GCLOG, the Redwood is what all little GCLOGs aspire to be. The Redwood Portable Fire Pit is an upgrade from the original Gas Fire Ring. A taller, sturdier base stand, safety ring/carry handle, matchless ignition, and a laundry list of other features, the Redwood is the next step in portable propane fire pits. Camp Chef Gas Fire Pits are allowed for use in most fire ban restrictions, check with the local Ranger Station before use.

  • Smokeless, propane fueled flame
  • Matchless ignition and fully adjustable flame-control dial
  • 12 lbs. of lava rock disperse and radiate heat
  • Safety shutoff valve
  • Includes 4 extendable roasting sticks, carry bag, regulator and 6 ft. hose, and propane tank support stand
  • 15 in. diameter fire pit
  • Total output: 55,000 BTU/hr
  • Materials: Heavy gauge steel, nickel coated steel safety rings
  • Due to the nature of lava rocks, some rocks may need to "cure" before a lifetime of enjoyment, to do this, simply setup the fire pit and ignite on high, allowing it to "bake" the rocks for about 10 minutes, during these few minutes, maintain a safe distance while a small portion of the rock may, or may not, crack and gently pop, after 10 minutes, the rock will be cured and setup complete
  • Don't forget the propane -- available at our in-store propane exchange centers

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Third one Love my fire pits. My neighbor loved it so I gave him one of mine. Ordered a replacement so I have one in my front yard and one in my backyard. My Jack Russell stands next to it asking me to turn it on. If I say no he just moves closer as if to say "I want this turned on". I have my early morning coffee & he has his nap. Love it love it October 18, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy regulator The regulator is very noisy and when I called about it their solution was to turn down the valve on the gas bottle. How about replacing it with a better one that does not make annoying noise. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Have used it on an outing already! Works great.... June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome little fire pit! I love it! Perfect size, sturdy, and easy to use. Kept us nice and warm and made all the other campers in the no-burn area jealous! We've used it in the yard, in the driveway (which made our Halloween evening much more entertaining) and at a group camp site during a very cold evening (it might have been 50 degrees--Arizona freezing!). Even on the lowest setting it is plenty of heat. The metal ring at the top stays cool to the touch which actually creates a nice barrier for our dog who was a bit too curious. We were glad to find that it wasn't hot at all! December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great addition to my camping gear. Must have for current SoCal fire restrictions. I am overall satisfied with my purchase on this fire-pit/grill. It saved me on our last camping trip. With California's current wood/charcoal restrictions, this really came through. It was our source of heat for warmth, cooking and plus, whats a weekend camping in the mountains without a campfire. This thing was really easy to setup and start for the first time. The ease of turning it on and connecting the propane tank is pretty much idiot-proof. This worked great at our campsite. Our campsite had a ground fire-pit with a grate/screen towards the back. This fit right under the grate. We used it for pots and pans to cook. And this thing gets hot. We had water boiling in less than 5 minutes. Also, the carrying case it comes with is a simple yet great feature. It's a must have in my book and I was happy it was provided. It also came with some nice, study food skewers. Any cons? Not really, but if a had to say a few it would be the fact that you have no way to carry/transport the lava rocks when you're packing up. They ended up in a cardboard box until next time. Also, I've only used this for one weekend as of now so I can't vouch for how well it stays together with multiple trips and start-ups. October 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by super easy to use Very nice product easy to carry. We are using it at the ocean and the breeze does not effect the performance. August 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use Love the ease of use and safety of turning it off and leaving it. Auto ignition is a real plus. Various levels of intensity...low - high make it versatile. No problems with it at all. Love it for home and camping. August 13, 2013
