Customer Questions & Answers

When not in use, is it ok to leave the charger plugged in or will that damage the battery?

Asked by: Robbie
do not leave it plugged in. I had the exact same one as this only made by another company that said to leave it plugged in and it killed the charger. This brand says to charge it up once every 3 months and unplug it when it is charged. I do not leave it plugged in. Only time will tell if this one will last by charging it this way. My other died after about 1yr of leaving it plugged in and only used it about a dozen times.

The owners manual does not describe the A/C adapter. I have several A/C adapters and I need to know which one came with this product.

Asked by: Toby
The A/C charger that comes with this product is input 120V 60Hz 25W ; output 12VDC 800mA. This all should be visible on the charger itself.

How do I replace the battery in the cc2300?

Asked by: Jerry
There are 7 screws holding the housing together on the CC2300. Remove those screws and the housing will open exposing the battery.

I have a Campbell HausFeld 12-Volt cordless Inflator Model CC2300. This has been the most dependable unit I've ever used. I purchased this unit from Homedepot Stores on April 17 2001 and haven't had a bit of trouble until now. My question to you now is, my internal battery doesn't seem to want to charge anymore using my A/C 120 Volt line. When I took it out of the box to use it again and checked the little lights it showed that the amber light was lit up indicating it needed to be fully charged again like I've done so many times before, but to no-avail. Do I have to have the internal battery replaced or is that possible and if so, where do I take it to or send it to, to have the battery replaced if possible. Or is it to be discarded and replaced with a new unit of the same make and model. "Please Advise" Thank you for your kind attention and consideration towards this matter. Have a nice day! Sincerely yours, Charles ("Chuck") McMillan

I have had two of these units since around 2001; both batteries ended up not being able to be recharged about 6 months ago. I decided not to bother searching for replacement batteries as the price of a new unit and the availability was much greater than probably a price of a new battery. I have no problems with this unit and would recommend simply getting a new unit unless it isn't as old as both of my previous units are. I just have to find a place to dispose both of them.

The other one was about 20 years old, the battery wouldn't hold a charge very long. This inflator is light and convenient to carry around to keep tires inflated to properly, thus extending the life of them. The pressure gage on top is handy to get you a close approximate for pounds. Battery lasts a long while when fully charged. I carry it on vacations and around just in case you or someone needs a tire pumped up. It can be cheap insurance if you get in a bind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Product available!! After a 17 hour charge, I used this to bring all 4 auto tires from 28# to 40#. Had no trouble in doing this. I then recharged it for a few hours and it is good to go again. Love not having to use cigarette lighter in the car. This model is excellent. I had two previous ones that got me through the "eye" of Charlie in 2004. Batteries are gone now in both but after 12 years of continued use, can't blame the product!!, I just found this product again with Home Depot and ordered it immediately. It is really convenient to use so long as your follow the directions at start up!! Recommend this highly.

We have an older version of this product which has performed very well for 15+ years. When our kids headed to college with cars, we bought 2 of these newer units which have been great for adding air to car tires and bike tires. The inflator is easy to use, effective and the price point is great. Because the unit doesn't take much room, it's great to have on trips. We now own 3 of these newer units.

Apparently it was shipped this way as there was no damage to container and seal was on the door. Gray tape fixes everything but this makes the thing look cheap.
