Answer:
The framing nailer requires 4.1 scfm @ 90 psi. The max pressure of the 110 psi unit can be regulated down to 90 psi but these smaller compressors typically do not produce the scfm of 4.1 that the nailer requires.

21-Degree Framing Nailer Kit is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine I have used this and found that it works fine. Was only able to find 3" nails at home depot. Had to go to that other box store to find some 2'3/8 inch exterior nails. That would be my only complaint, the available of nails at Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faming Nailer So far I am happy with this purchase. The nailer works good. Since I am a homeowner who will use it infrequently I think it will be a good tool for me. I like the cleated tip for toe nailing. It helps keep the nailer on target. I am powering it with a 2 gallon compressor with adequate results. A little bigger compressor would be better. I shoot about 5 nails at 100 psi before the compressor has to refill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Nailer This nailer was very reasonably priced, it appears to be built very well, and its worked super good so far. Being the first one I have ever owned I don't know if all of them don't drive toe nail joints to the surface or not, but on mine they drive to about 3/8 above surface and if you need it deeper its hammer time. On flat surfaces it drives beautifully. My compressor may be a litte on the light side so that could account for the toe nail joints issue too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bueno Only had the gun a week now, but it's already framed a two-tiered deck and a full bath. It's almost identical to the Rigid I had stolen, so I'm used to the style. It was $70 less, though, which is awesome. If you're not attached to a specific brand, or if you use a Rigid gun already, then save some money on a good gun next time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great nailer Works great with framing nails. 2" ring shank nails, not so good, jams easily

Rated 5 out of 5 by from used for finishing basement Is the best nailer for the money that i could find. Keep the pressure up to 100psi and it works just fine. I was only using a small 3 gallon compressor. Made the framing project a breeze!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First nail gun purchase and it works great for a DIY. This gun works well and would purchase again. Would recommend to all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product is "good for the money". Less expensive than the Porter Cable nailer but the PC has some features that the Campbell Hausfeld doesn't. For example - to turn the exhaust in a different direction you need the small Allen wrench provided while the Porter Cable can be done by hand. Overall it is a great tool for "weekend warriors" but if you a contractor I'd stay with a PC. Nuff Said!!
