What is the pressure drop across the filter at a specified flow & pressure?

Asked by: Chuck
For the PA212103AV, the pressure drop should be pretty minimal. We would not have exact numbers but is should be approximately 2-3 psi.

3/8 in. Filter is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feeling drained So far i have only used it once but all i can say is it works.... I have 2 Craftsman filters and they don't seem to work as well I especially like the drain for the water build up. My Craftsman filters do not have a fixed drain plug and I have lost the small screws on both multiple times . The fixed plug makes draing mid service a breeze ....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk - Leaks Packaged as "Husky" brand. Upon installation this product leaks out of the drain at the bottom. Drain valve is cheap plastic, no matter how I turn it, it leaks, and cannot be tightened up. Save your money and aggravation and buy a quality product. Regulator I bought separately seems to be working well, no complaints there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good Running a DA sander for an extended period made for a LOT of water coming out of the tool. Finally invested in a filter and settled on this one. I've used the sander several times since I've installed the filter and the compressor has run for an hour straight several times. I would say that it has cut the amount of water coming out of the tool by 98%. There's still a little water that comes out, but it's nothing like it was pre-filter. ******I will say, however, that at the same time I installed this filter I also installed approximately 30' of 1" steel pipe. From my research I knew that the filter performed best as close to the tool as possible. Well, in this case that's simply not possible. I needed the filter right by the compressor, before my air hose reel. To compensate for this I wound up running 4' of steel vertical pipe up through the ceiling into the attic where it 90s to a 10' horizontal stick, where it 90s again to another 10' horizontal stick that slopes downward and back towards the compressor and then 90s down to a vertical 4' stick and on the end of this pipe is where the filter is. So my filter is still next to the hose reel, but there is ~30' of pipe between it and the compressor. Bottom line is the filter is working exactly as I'd hoped ON MY SETUP; your results may vary/may not work at all if you don't have enough pipe/line before the filter to allow the air to cool before it gets to the filter. Read online if you don't know what I'm talking about.*****
