Answer:
The DH5800 spray gun requires 4.5 scfm @ 40 psi for average usage and 6.4 scfm @ 40 psi for continuous usage. You would typically need a minimum of a 20 gallon tank compressor to get that kind of air delivery in scfm.

Answer:
Hi ChefBD2, the psi rating is good. The compressor size needs to be greater. A 25 gallon compressor would be considered a minimum to try. You don't want to be in the middle of spraying and have the air go off. You want a continuous supply of air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent & Affordable product for the job at hand I was looking for a multi-purpose spray gun without breaking the bank. This one was simple to use, easy to clean up, and affordable. There is no waste with the gravity feed, and no siphon tube to fight with to get cleaned up. Replaced 2 - 30+ year old guns with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 25 motorcycles over 8 years! awesome value. Never been rebuilt, cleaned thoroughly after use without disassembly, excellent quality spray. I prefer this over my devilbiss costing 2x the money. Nice gun for anything small to about car fender size. Have used for primer, base, and clear with good results.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from uneven spray for primer Interior drywall primer might be too thick for this sprayer. The primer was applied somewhat uneven, almost in orange peel texture. I'm texturing over it anyway, so it is ok for me. But if you're looking for a very smooth finish, you might want to invest in something a little better. Even with adjusting pressure at the compressor, pressure at the sprayer,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great little sprayer not a bad little sprayer for 30 bucks. now, ill admit, i dont know much about spraying. but i figure things out pretty darn quick. after a bit of playing around with some water, i got the hang of the controls. then put a very successful layer of polyurethane on my project. im sure its not the $300 HVLP sprayers, but for what i want, its great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the money Doesn't require as much CFM. You still have to fine sand your product after all. A little bit too much overspraying. After all, it's a good product and gets the job done., Used it to spray acrylic paint and waterbased finish, and worked great.
