Product Overview

The Campbell Hausfeld tire inflator with gauge (MP600000AV) combines an inflating gun, air chuck and pressure gauge in one convenient unit that’s easy to use — even one handed. A clip on design enables hands-free use of the chuck while inflating tires; the pressure gauge accurately shows the amount of air in the tire from 10 – 150 PSI. If a tire has been overinflated, the built-in relief valve makes deflating easy. Includes a flexible hose to make reaching tire stems easier. Finish your projects faster and easier with Campbell Hausfeld - The Air Power Expert.

Answer:
If the max spec is 100 psi, I wouldn't recommend using it above that. Often the gauge on a piece of equipment goes above the equipment's max rating so the readings at that max level remain accurate and don't push the limits of the gauge, possibly damaging it.

Answer:
The MP6000 inflation gun needs to be connected to an air compressor. The gauge on the inflation gun will show how much air coming from the compressor is going into whatever is being inflated, such as a car tire.

Would it be unsafe to connect this to my 150 psi compressor? If yes, do you have an inflator with higher working pressure, and what model number is it?

Answer:
The MP6000 tire inflator can be used with your 150 psi compressor. You would need to set the regulator on the compressor to less than 150 psi.

Hi Lakeguy,
All compressors have a pressure regulator with which you can set the outlet pressure. Just set the outlet pressure to less than 150 psi.

Tire Inflator with Gauge is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not perfect, but for the price it is awesome This tire inflator is awesome, no more switching between my air chuck and gauge, they are all one assembly. The gauge is accurate and easier to read than the traditional stick gauge, and the pressure relief button is a nice touch as well. My unit leaks a small amount of air from where male quick connect threads in, but I think using a couple extra wraps of teflon tape would take care of that. You do have to really push it down to make a good connection, and I've read that shaving the plastic washer that's in the chuck helps. At ~$11 you can't really beat it, most other brands are $40+. For those saying it does not come with the quick connect adapter, this must be your first air tool, they are not usually included.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works, but NPT threads where a bit loose The inflator works OK, but the 1/4 NPT pipe threads were a bit too big and didn't seal well with the male fittings I tried. Instead of going to the trouble of returning it, I epoxied the male fitting in and it sealed OK. Works great otherwise. I like that the gauge range is less than most others (I'm not sure why others go to 200+ psi) which provides for a little more resolution for readings down in the range of typical tire pressures (25 - 60 psi). It is accurate compared to the digital gauge I have used for years.

The mail likeable feature on this gauge is the locking valve that secures tightly to the tire valve reducing air loss that I experience with other types of compressor tire valves. Only improvement that I could recommend would be a digital gauge instead of the dial gauge. Just ordered two additional gauges as Christmas presents for my son and son-in-law.
