Asked by: Benny
Yes but you should get the upgraded hard cover. I'm in Ontario Canada and use it with the hard top cover with not issues

Are jets only where the plumbing comes in?

is is advertised as having 88 jets. How is that possible when there is no plumbing and the liner has only three ports to allow plumbing in. How do you get jets across? Confused.
Asked by: Nrk
The spa has 88 mini air jets on the liner 2 inches above from the base. This has a dedicated jets port, 1 of the 3 pipes are used for this. The other two are for the heating & filtration.

What is the interior bottom made of, and is there some cushion?

Asked by: Julie
The bottom is made of the same vinyl material with a small cushion underneath. It does provide some cushion however it's not like sitting on a couch. With that being said I have used my spa for about 6 months and don't have any issues with sitting on the bottom.

Customer Reviews

Swift Current 5-Person Portable Spa is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great in winter & snow! I had this product for a month now and it is excellent. It has held up to the 4 snowstorms and cold temps we have encountered in Newfoundland so far this winter. I highly recommend hardtop cover as an additional purchase as I am not sure the inflatable cover that comes with it would work well. If you are using this spa in winter, I highly recommend you purchase this cover! When we set up the tub, it was around -5 degrees. We filled the tub half way with the hose (very cold water) and half way with hot tap water, and it took the tub about 1.5 days to heat up to 39 degrees. It has no problem retaining this temp. If you are just using it with two people, you can keep the hard top cover on half way for even less heat loss. When we had 4 adults in the tub, it was around -5 degrees and the temperature dropped from 39 degrees to 37 degrees in the hour it was in use with the full cover off. Our electricity bill increased by approximately $35 from Dec 20-Jan 20, which is our coldest month here in Newfoundland.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from buyer beware Having this hot tub was a dream come true at first! The heat, the jets, the materials, all above my expectations ... I never thought it could be so wonderful at this price point... but after only 3 weeks the side began to cave in. Customer service said the 1/4 inch over 6 foot slope caused this. Now to be fair, customer service is as good as it gets at Canadian Spa, but you should know that this tub needs a perfectly level surface and if that's not possible, don't buy it! My tub is in limbo until I either pour another concrete pad or sell it on craigslist... There are no long term reviews that I've read so perhaps I'm not the only one... and I would've given this a 5 star too in the first week!

Put out again for Canada Weekend and will not work. Troubleshooting error code E3 states to simply 'but a new control unit'. Yes, sure.... pay that much money for something and use it 10 or 12 times... then buy a new control unit for $600.00 every 10 months. No problem. Much smarter to spend a but more and get something dependable.

It looks like they update the hot tub and forgot to update the video. I went to You Tube and found a video that helped. Other than that its great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied We got it about a month ago for the money it's great value there is only two of us we have had much bigger tubs in the past and decided to try this as the future could be in a motorhome or fifth wheel so the portability became important to us

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cracking product Just set up my new purchase, a Swift current. It's fairly easy once the foam sections slot in. As it's to be used in a British winter, I've built a housing box for the control panel. The spa is deep, wide and totally on par with the hard shell varieties albeit I've only used it for a week. Very soft cushioned sides and base. As with all portable spas, once the jets are on in cold weather, it loses heat over a period of time. However, not as quick with this one as you may think. Totally happy so far! Be aware that when delivered, the boxes are huge. However, I'd recommend this any day! Superb so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A GREAT Stay-cation We decided on a "stay cation" and the icing on the cake would be the addition of a hot tub. We wanted the portability of a soft sided hot tub and we really did our homework. We could not be happier with our Canadian made Swift Current Portable Spa. The team at Canadian Spa were very approachable and answered any questions. My husband and I were able to easily set up the hot tub together in around 30-40 minutes (First time). Our son and his wife visited, and there is plenty of room for 4 adults (our son is 6'7"!). Relaxing has a new meaning now. Our 3 grandchildren of 3 and half years old had a great time in the spa (We reduced the heat to around 94 for the kids) Time to hit the hot tub!
