0.46 cu. ft. Wall Vault Security Safe is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Purchase I picked up one of these safes about 2 months ago and installed it in my basement. It included 4 heavy duty bolts to screw into the studs from the inside of the safe. There is no way that a person could take this safe out of my house without tearing the wall out! Although there isn't tons of space, it's great for keeping personal documents, jewelry, or other small, miscellaneous things that you don't want people to be able to have access too. The extra space in the bottom of the safe is handy also; it's definitely an added bonus feature that most other wall safes do not have. I love my purchase and recommend this item to everyone I talk to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install, works great!! This wall vault arrived as advertised, with easy installation instructions. The interior space is fairly small, but sufficient for my intended use: some documents, cash, and a couple handguns (if positioned just right). Not for high security, but you can't break into it, if you don't know it's there.... PROS: -easy installation -easily concealed -easy access (key or passcode) -interior light CONS: -limited space (but adequate for intended use) -no fire protection -limited security -fairly noisy when opening DEFINITELY worth the price!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work after installation Got this safe installed by a handyman, however, it does not work. After setting the passcode, the safe wouldn't close. Tried calling the Customer Service department who could not give me a solution that works. Safe is now unresponsive despite brand new batteries. Do not be surprised to encounter difficulties.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of JUNK! Appears well built, but after 1 year the door stopped opening without multiple attempts - then door wouldn't close. Eventually had to start using the key to open and close all the time, that only lasted a few times and not door will not close at all. Save your money - DON'T BUY THIS ONE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best wall safe on the market Best wall safe on the market, it has a light that turns on as door opens and gravity pulls the door open. fits between standard wall studs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good for the price. As noted in other reviews, the screws that came with the safe are too short; you need to get longer ones to install correctly. I also thought the description was somewhat misleading when it refers to the unit "mounting flush between the studs". I intended to hide the safe in the wall behind a picture and specifically looked for that feature when choosing the safe. While the majority of the unit does mount into the wall, the face framing must remain on the outside of the wall to enable the door to slide down and clear the wall when the safe opens. Therefore, the unit framing extends about 1/2 inch from the wall itself. Unless you have a good piece of art on a stretched canvas (where the center is recessed inside the canvas framing) your print will not hang flat over the safe. Having both a touchpad entry and backup key are good features. Overall, I am satisfied with the safe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install, secure, easy to hide Slim fit, easy to hide behind a picture. The door slides down in front of the dry wall (do not install directly above a shelf or furniture that is against the wall. The programming and instructions could use some improvement, but I would recommend this product to a friend and may purchase a second.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work properly- returning it I had a safe with the exact same size made by a different manufacturer. It worked perfectly until a problem in the touch-pad came up. Rather than try to have it fixed, I decided to buy a new one when I found it on Homedepot.com. Right out of the box the door did not want to open all the way. After several times pushing it down by hand, it worked ok. Then it would not open, so I had to use the key. I found that the battery pack had dislodged and needed to be replaced. Now it will not lock when the door is pushed back up. I'm removing it this weekend and returning it. Not sure if I'll reorder to see if this is a lemon, or get a different one because this is just poor construction. I hate to have to cut/ patch the sheetrock if I get a different sized one.
