Rated 4 out of 5 by Works exactly as expected. I removed old carpet covering from stairs and decided to redo with laminate to match the Old Mill Hickory that I put in the adjoining room. I re-stained the existing oak floor and trim to match. Handling the 8 foot planks on a small table saw was a little difficult, but manageable. I used a hand saw on the bullnose and then sandpaper to make a perfect fit. I wouldn't ask a beginner to try this. I used the risers as well. I found there was enough sage in the existing stairs that I needed to hide the gap with quarter rounds. July 24, 2013
