I don't normally write reviews but this product is something you need to know about.
We have light colored carpet and a diabetic border collie, not a good combo, we had a couple stains that seemed to get worse whenever I tried shampoo, it would look great right after shampooing but in the morning it came back even darker.
I had read about this dry cleaner and did not think it would do much but the next step would be new carpet so i figured it's worth a $20.00 investment.
I followed the directions and I was amazed!
I had one spot that was almost black, after several treatments using this product looked better that the surrounding carpet that had no stains.

I have been using this for over 10 years. A friend used it to remove a coffee stain from her new white carpet and recommend it. I had just bought a house with older carpet. I had professional cleaners clean the carpets and they still looked dirty. I used the capture and I was truly amazed. I have 3 cats and two dogs and I would not have carpeting in my house if Capture products were no longer available. Recently I noticed that Lowes stores are spotty on availability. But Home Depot carries it too. I have a Bissell vacuum. I purchased several additional sponge filters for it. The powder does eventually clog the filter. I change out the filter several times while vacuuming up the powder. Works like a charm. Then I wash all the filters in the sink and allow them to dry for the next use. I can't say enough about this product. If you brush it into the carpet with a scrub brush on a broom stick and allow it to dry before vacuuming you will be amazed. You have to use the spray with it. The spray activates the powder allowing the particles to expand while absorbing the dirt and odors. If you spray and brush the powder in it will absorb dirt and odors all the way to the carpet padding. Let it dry completely so the powder can do
It's job. Then vacuum, emptying your vacuum several times because the powder does expand as it absorbs. If you have a bad stain repeat the cleaning instructions several times and it will remove the stain. It's more work than a liquid type carpet cleaning machine but it's well worth it. I'm surprised they don't offer a money back guarantee. It's that good I promise. I don't usually write reviews. This is probably my third time ever writing a review.

I particularly like this because it's dry and you don't have to wait very long to be able to walk on carpet. It's easy to apply and does a very good job. I applied it twice on the wear areas of my off white, 12+ year old carpeting and I'm very happy with the results. I think it cleans better than the liquid that I used in carpet steamer. I also used Scotch Guard after cleaning the carpets.

I've been using this product for over a year. I have oatmeal colored carpet, 2 large dogs who like to lay in the dirt, and a 20 year old cat that loves to eat grass then come inside to throw up on my carpet!!! This product gets out all the dirt and stains with no problem at all. And in this house, that's really saying something! The really bad stains come out easily if you use the pre treatment spray, but most dirt and spots come up with just the powder if you don't leave it for a week or 2 before trying to clean it..

This stuff is awesome when used for pet hair. I have a black futon that my cats lay on and it now looks like it's made out of cashmere. I've tried everything to get the hair off it, but nothing worked. Sprinkled some Capture on it and waited about 20 minutes. When I vacuumed, it pulled every bit of hair off the couch fabric. It looked brand new. I then decided to use it on my area rug in the living room. Same thing. I could have made another cat from all the hair that was pulled out of the carpet fibers. Let it be known I vacuum religiously using a Rainbow vacuum, so I was shocked at what this stuff can "capture". The only thing to be careful of is it could break your vacuum from everything that is released and sucked up. I had to stop and empty a couple times, because it was too full. Great stuff and works on stains too.
