Great concept but has fatal flaw. The box gets pushed in or pulled forward when plugging in or unplugging an appliance, in my case, simple things such as an alarm clock, small lamp etc. I wish I knew this before I installed 20 of them in my new home addition. I wonder if they actually tested these boxes for performance before commencing mass production and sales.

I installed 25 throughout my workshop. The reason I went with these is because didn't know if I would add wainscoting at a later point. Therefore I didn't know the exact the thickness of my inside wall at the time of the electrical installation.
If you plan use a heavy duty receptacle, one that will actually hold your plug DO NOT USE THESE BOXES! It will move back and forth in the wall, and I can only estimate that it will be a matter of time before the flimsy threads on every one of these break and I will have to replace all of them.
I would not recommend these to anyone to use for receptacles.

These boxes are awesome because your can adjust the face of the box to the finish wall as required by California code. This feature insures the secure fit of the outlets or switches you attach with no gaps behind the cover-plate.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Parapraxis easiest install ever
In a recent remodel I used these and even though they were a little more cost wise was thoroughly sold on them.
They are without a doubt the easiest to install/and or reposition before securing, and the debt adjustment makes it ideal for applications where the finished wall has not been decided upon.

As others have said this box is particularly handy because of the depth adjustment. I recently ran across this box and will use it on future installs.
