Customer Questions & Answers

How do you alter the airflow?

We installed a wall switch and there is no option to reverse the airflow, we looked at the fan and there doesn't seem to be a switch. The fan was installed for us by an electrician and the remote control seems to be missing, perhaps that is how you change the airflow, if it is can we order a new remote control?

Ainsworth Gallery 60 in. Indoor Cottage White Ceiling Fan with 4-Speed Wall-Mount Control is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ceilingfan I am very frustrated with this product. I purchased this beautiful ceiling fan and cannot hang it because there have been no downrods available for at least a month...the 18 and 24 inch

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works fine but looks beat up This is the second time I've received a Casablanca fan whose blades looked like they have gone about ten rounds with Muhammed Ali. I don't know if Casablanca sends Home Depot all its damaged fans, but it sure seems like it to me. I got tired of waiting and had this one installed and it works fine. I don't mind the scratched up blades too much but others probably would.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works but not cosmetically perfect The fan works fine but the blades are all scratched up. This is the second time I've received a Casablanca fan whose blades are scratched.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No handheld remote included. This fan requires you to place the remote in the wall since it does not come with a handheld remote that you can use if you are in bed. For such an expensive fan that is crazy. Also, while this fan is attractive, it doesn't look that much better than fans half the price, and it doesn't seem to perform any better either, in terms of air flow. I wish that I had read the reviews on this fan first! I would never have purchased it and am returning it to Home Depot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's a Ceiling Fan Good color. Seems high quality (I would hope since it's 2x a Hunter in price). Good installation instructions. I'm a bit disappointed in the speeds. It's supposed to be 4 speed and it is, but it's "Serenity Speed" doesn't seem to be any slower/lower than the lowest on my prior 3 speed fan. And the highest doesn't seem any higher than the prior fan. More options, but I was really hoping the lowest would be really nice in reverse for the winter. Also, not crazy about the globe under the lights. It's a little more opaque than I would prefer and it will gather dust and bugs. Since mine is on a vaulted ceiling it will be a pain to keep clean. But it's very quiet, looks good and pushes the amount of air you would expect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Elegant Ceiling Fan We bought 2 white Casablanca fans for our 1950's home last summer and we loved their appearance and function. We installed them in our living room with a portable air conditioner and they did the trick for San Diego weather. This summer we purchased this fan with the light for the master bedroom. The man who installed it said her really liked it and wanted to know how much we paid for it. My daughter said it really made a difference to the whole room. I loved the antique metal details and the glass is elegantly frosted with an outside lined trim. However, the light and speed controls are on the wall switch; so I never misplace the control, but I have to get up from bed to control the switches. The lack of a remote would not be a factor if the fan were in any other room. I could try to find a universal remote if it becomes an issue for me. Works quietly and cools, I have not had the chance to test it through hot summer months, since it is still cool now.
