Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tool Not bad for one season maybe. Still not happy with price.
I bought this fire pit about 1-3/4 years ago. First fire, mesh lid/ember catcher decided to re-engineer itself. Maybe I should have burned a cooler fire? Gave up on that and continued to use the rest of it. Was fine however like everyone else, frame is A-1, pan is now 83 percent rusted through deeming it unusable which is why I'm here looking to buy some other pit. Put up with it last year. Was surprised that Home Depot would still be selling this pit almost two years later for the same price with such consistently bad reviews and experiences.

This fire pit was left at our house when we moved in. We already had one but when we compared how much larger it was (33" vs 26") we decided to use it instead. Other's reviews are accurate, it does rust--as has every other pit I've owned. We are finally at the point to get another one, and we're buying it again. The size of this one makes it so much better for groups sitting around it. I'd absolutely recommend.

We've had this fire pit for two seasons now and the firebowl portion is very rusted due to trapped water despite living in a dry desert climate. Why don't I keep it covered? I would, but the cover is worthless if you live in a windy area. The legs and frame still look great, but between the rust and the bent up screen it isn't looking too great. Both the tray and the screen were picked up by a large dust devil and thrown over our backyard fence, the cover ended up 30 feet up in a neighbors tree, but even a gentle wind would blow it off the fire pit. The screen was bent and the tray was dented as well, but is still usable. I'll keep using it until it rusts through since it is functional and it is nice to sit around on cool spring or fall evenings.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mel77 Rusts out and becomes unusable quickly
I bought this firepit because of the aesthetic appeal. It was covered in rust after less than one year of use. Holes have now formed and it's unusable. I'm terribly disappointed, especially because of the price paid. I even tried to use high heat paint, but that dissolved after one use. I think this is one of the most attractive fire pits on the market, but it's simply not worth the money. The cover is also very cheaply made, and allows rain and snow melt in, which contributes to the rusting.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by jackd20 Nice firepit, terrible cover
This firepit looks great out of the box and is relatively easy to assembly. I used this firepit once, cleaned it out the next day and put the cover on. I just pulled the cover off this past weekend to reuse and found a ton of rain water had accumalated inside. The cover is not water proof, in fact, I highly doubt it is even water resistant. The wrought iron cover already shows incredible amounts of rusting. This piece of junk is going back to the store tomorrow.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gooseybean great fire pit!
I found this fire pit on Homedepot.com after looking at it in the store and loving it. I was surprised to find it for just $74 when it was $150 at our local store. I went ahead and ordered one, and it is perfect for our backyard! The size is great, it is sturdy and will hold a reasonable sized fire, not to mention it has a more elegant apperance than some of the more expensive ones. I would recommend this fire pit to anyone.

We have purchased this same firepit 3 years in a row. It is a great value for the money. Yes..It does rust..but so does every fire pit that is less than $150.00
We use them for 1 year and throw them away.
Think how romantic one dinner is for $150.00 and think
how many romantic nights you can have in a year outside
with your cozy firepit..and a nice little bottle of wine!
You get what you pay for in life!

This product looked perfectly fine when I received it, and I never used it before exchanging it for another fire pit. I ended up going with a basic round version for under $100 from my local Home Depot store. I just needed a fire pit for the backyard that was safe & functional, and the one I ended up with not only saved me over $50, but was also lighter than this product.
