Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It works fine. This was the first project I have ever done with Melamine board. This tool trims the edge banding perfectly. You just need to follow the simple instructions, and it will turn out great! May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific tool Buy this tool! First, so easy to use by just following the 'direction of travel' arrows that are molded right into the tool itself. I had NO problem with wood veneer banding. As long as you take the time to point the tool in the proper direction (with the grain), it's simple! The directions on the packaging were very clear and made using the tool very straight-forward. Second, the blades have a very sharp hone, from the factory, which yielded a very tight and crisp edge... minimal finish sanding required. Very smooth, on both edges, when cutting on real wood veneer banding AND worked perfectly on melamine banding as well. Removed excess material AND hot melt glue without any problem. It's very easy to pull apart to keep the blades clean when material/glue builds up. So much faster than using trim router with a bevel trim bit. Did around 60' of edge band trimming without a single problem. Absolutely great results without any issues! January 4, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by junk Do not buy this piece of junk. First, this thing is inherently flawed because it makes you cut both sides in the same direction, when really you should be going opposite directions in order to follow the grain. Second, the blades aren't that sharp and the plastic body isn't very sturdy. You're better off with a chisel or razor blade. Or maybe the other commonly available trimmer that cuts one side at a time. September 8, 2015
