Answer:
Hello,
We recommend you sink the pole 12 inches into the ground or in this case a pot or other container. At this depth you will have 5 feet of pole above ground. We don't have longer poles available at this time.
Thank you

Hello Teri and thank you for your question.
Cedar-Works recommends that the pole be in the ground at least a foot (one of the five sections in the kit should be pounded into ground with a hammer or block of wood). This height is recommended for ease in replacing the bird seed. There is an adapter flange for mounting a wooden feeder and 4 wood screws included in the kit.
Best wishes with your project. I Read More

I bought something similar to this at a store called White Rose that was located in Windsor, Ontario. Apparently, the chain no longer exists, and now you don't carry this any longer. I'm actually looking for the lower portion of the pole that goes into the ground. The poll that I have came in 3 pieces, including a ground stake.

Thank you.

Hello,
The pole is made from heavy-duty steel and would be a great option to hold a bird house.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Practical and easy to assemble Bird feeder pole was easy to put together. I would have given this product 5 stars however the pole that you drive into the ground was not made for tough clay that I have. It was hard getting it deep into the soil and then had to level it which loosened the soil and made the pole a bit wobbly. July 30, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful and durable! I wanted something that the squirrels would not chew through and a feeder that added beauty to my yard. The copper adds a touch of class. Just wish I had purchased a long time ago. Great price too! May 7, 2013
