The F48G98B32 was the motor that drove the belt driven whole-house attic fan I purchased from home depot the in 1997. The motor isn't working and I'm wondering if this is a sufficient replacement

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice transaction The motor came as described, fast shipping and good price in my opinion. Time will tell about its reliability. October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heater / AC blower motor Only thing to be concerned about...if you are not an experienced electrician the wiring could throw you as some of the colors have changed...someone on here earlier said the motor was noisey...it is NOT...it is as quiet as a mouse...! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It spins Loud on startup but functions as it should. Longevity is important factor but there is no way to judge that at this point. The previous motor lasted 25 years. Somehow I don't think this one will make it that long. If it lasts a few years until the furnace is replaced I will be happy. August 12, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good pricing and timly shipping the motor came with no wiring diagram. It is replacing an old motor so the colors did not match making it difficult to install. October 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by product great but website not to helpful I called your store after I purchased the product and talked to Steve in plumbing at location on 27 and cornhusker he was very informative and careful to mentchin that since he did not have the product in front of him he could not tell me what everything was but in general there is a diagram on the side of the blower and I followed it and it made much more sense after words. I just wish the diagram would tell you what each independent wire was I could tell what the red and blue wire where because the matched the old motor but the new wire the should of been white was yellow and that confused me. this of course goes back to the manufacture that may not expect a home owner to be installing it. I was able to get the motor installed but they should include a bracket for it with it or give you the option to order it as I had to turn to ebay to get it. I also did not find website that informative but youtube helped January 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by motor is doing well for a month the motor I purchased has a three speed available hookup and I had to have someone come in to install it for a small service fee, It is not a quiet as first thought just when it first starts up you hear a little hum then when it gets going it is fine. It does the job as it should. February 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easily installed and surprisingly versatile. After initially purchasing I found out this was the wrong motor for my furnace, however because of the simplicity of the installation I tried it anyway. After several tweaks, that is in leveling and shimming the sleeve it is working fine. I consider myself a satisfied customer and this product serves my need well. February 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wrong one! What a bummer. Wrong one. But husband says it's a fine motor and worth every penny. Came sooner then expected, too. December 31, 2013
