I would have liked to write a glowing report on this window, as this window is beautiful and was fun to install.
It was tough and tedious to paint, however, because of all the tight spaces that are part of its construction, but I followed instructions about painting onto the glass, and prepainted it indoors with a primer and finish coats.
The bottom line? Even after careful installation, the window fogged within 2 days just from outdoor humidity. The window was definitely not properly sealed from the factory, and is consequently a huge disappointment.
Why don't I return it? It failed after installation, and removing and replacing it does not appeal, especially when 'all' of these windows are likely to have the same fault.
Luckily it's installed in my shed, not my house!

The windows arrived in good condition and the installation was a piece of cake. The instructions were helpful. One drawback were the hinges to open and close the window...they didn't lock the window open. We tried to see if the hinges were installed backwards from the factory, but the hinges were on correctly. Another draw back, the knobs on the inside to pull the window closed were installed too low on the frame, it prevented the window fom closing. I had to remove them and drill new holes higher up.

I purchased one of these windows only two years ago and already the cheap, soft white pine that it is made of has rotted.
I realize that nowadays it is very hard to find wood products that are made of quality materials but c'mon, my house still has it's original 100 year old windows and they're in great shape. I expected that i would have to replace this window eventually due to it's inferior construction and materials, but after only two years???

love the removable grids and the screen. you do have to remove the screen to open the window...but that takes about 5 seconds- (the pic is of installed window, painted, with no grid, and no screen)

Easy to install. Muttons require glue-up and assembly.

After I placed the order I was upset that I did not get a prefinished unit because I thought it would be difficult to finish. It was not and the wood was very nice. I am glad I was able to stain it to match the rest of the woodwork. It was a very good purchase!

Good product for the price, wasn't hard to install. You have to remove the screen to open and close the window, but not a problem. Took a while to get because HD orders there from a supplier and has to wait until they get it to ship it to you.
