Answer:
Thank you for contacting Cerro with your product inquiry. Copper pipe is always suitable for projects involving plumbing and has been utilized for hundreds of years to do so (assuming you are using this type of pipe for that kind of project). However, please let us know if you have any additional questions to assist you in your project.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIY Shower Rod, Towel Rod, and Toilet paper Holder I used the pipe to make a shower rod, towel rod, and toilet paper holder for the guest bathroom. It was easy to cut with either a hacksaw or manual miter saw. I sprayed the pipe with apple cider vinegar to remove the shiny new look and give it a more aged look; then, I applied clear nail polish to keep the aged look. Finials for the shower rod: 1/2" copper pressure tees Finials for the towel rod and toilet paper holder: 1/2" copper pressure 90 degree cup x cup elbows October 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Deal The pipe was good quality at a great price. No problems with fittings or soldering. April 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cerro develops pinhole leaks The copper pipe in my house started to develop pinhole leaks after 12 years in the house. The plumber told me the pipe was defective and showed me the section of failed pipe. The name "Cerro" was clearly printed on the pipe. We had to fix at least five sections of defective Cerro pipe so far in our house. I will use pex plastic pipe in my next home. November 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dielectric valves My hot water heater in the house i purchased in Jan.09 was installed to copper piping with out the use of the dielectric valves. After talking with the home depot plumbing specialist and my father in law we were able to use and in stall the correct valves to prevent my water heater from breaking down. Thanks for all the help! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well for my use (non-plumbing) Used nearly 30' of this as part of an outdoor garden box. Product cut well with a standard, copper pipe cutter. Finished product looks good. Sturdy. Good wall thickness. May 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shower water I have always used copper for my water lines and I always will. I never have a problem installing copper lines. I am very happy with copper. April 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Straight, clean, & easy to work! I picked up a couple lengths of this pipe for doing a small job and found it to be quite clean and straight. Cutting was no problem, and the solder took with no hesitation. May 25, 2010
