Thank you for contacting Cerro with your product inquiry. UF wire is rated for wet/damp locations, however we would not advise that it be used in submerged water. We would definitely recommend partnering with a local/licensed electrician to ensure safety with this particular project.

The gauge is the only thing that is different on these two wire. The 12-2 is rated for 20 amps and the 14-2 is rated for 15 amps.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wire is fine, As expected. Needed wire, paid for wire, got wire, installed it, chickens have light in the coop & heated water bowl, chickens seem happy, guess they like the wire too. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Underground electrical wiring Excellent insulation for unground placement. Should last a long time. August 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great customer service, very good product consistency I ordered hardscaping product for a patio I was building with a tight window for execution. Home Depot (Christiana) pulled the product from several locations that I needed so I could complete the job. Home delivery was excellent, although some of the pieces were damaged in transit. The product itself was consistent and very easy to work with, and the price was very competetive. June 19, 2012
