The unit constantly loses connectivity with the base unit and if you have two base units it doesn't link to the intercom only the other base unit. Would not recommend.

Upon testing the doorbell, I had already heard enough to be satisfied. I must admit I never did thoroughly test the intercom. I just figured it had to be better than the Westinghouse I had previously purchased. There aren't many options out there for inexpensive, wireless bell/intercoms.
The compact size of the main (indoor) unit is great. I read another review that said it was difficult to setup. I did not find that to be true. I had it functioning in minutes. The instructions could have been written a little better, but they were adequate. If you live in a cold climate, you'll need the pricier lithium batteries outside to work over the winter. The jury is out on quality; only time will tell, but the competing Westinghouse model I had lasted about 9 months.

The wireless doorbell and intercom is very easy to setup so I had high hopes. It was positioned so there was 30 feet between the two units in an office setting. The reliability was incredibly poor: it would consume batteries weekly, the clarity of the voice transmission was awful and garbled, the unit would cut off during transmission, and if we tried increasing the distance more than 30 feet - only the doorbell would work, no voice transmission. Do not buy.

Bought one and could not get it to work. Reviewed setup, reset, cleared memory, removed batteries, many retries, had store expert attempt to get it working, never worked. Replaced with identical unit and replay of same out of box failure. Unit would perform all the audible setup signals; but would never respond to the doorbell. My experience attempting to initiate 2 new systems would lead me to conclude this item has poor quality control and I suggest you not choose it.

The directions on how to program were inaccurate, had to google how to get it to work, when I finally did then it wouldn't shut off. Going back to the store today. Very disappointed.
