Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer I am so tired of everything Chamberlain
I had a ridiculously old Genie garage door opener that worked perfectly until it died at the age of 20+ years. Since I have had Chamberlain, it has been one signal interference issue after another. This remote will not work on my detached garage unless I am inside the garage. Not helpful. Brand new, yet still will not work. I repeat, I NEVER had interference or signal problems with Genie, but I have yet to find a Chamberlain system that will consistently work without interference. Terrible brand. Will NEVER buy their openers or anything again.

I just replaced the one I forgot in a rental (no one claimed to have seen it).... Anyway, I immediately went and bought the same clicker for my Chamberlain opener due to seamless programming coupled with flawless operation... A bit pricey, but previous owners didn't leave one-- what to do???

I recently replaced a 24 year old Stanley Garage Door Opener. Much quieter, Love its features : Timer to close (TTC), Battery Backup, Door control Learn button and sensor. REALLY EASY TO TELL WHEN SAFTEY SENSORS ARE ABSTRUCTED NOT LIKE OTHER MODELS WHERE THE DOOR GOES BACK UP WITHOUT LIGHTS FLASHING.

I replaced a 20-year-old chain drive model and this one is SO much quieter. Our bedroom is over the garage, and I could literally feel the old opener shake the bed. I can hardly even hear this one it is so quiet.
I haven't been able to get the motion detection to turn the light on yet, though, so I'm a little disappointed about that. I've gone through the instruction book and tried the steps numerous time, but no luck.
I installed it by myself and it took me about 4 hours to get the old one down and the new one installed and everything cleaned up. If you follow the directions, and have a basic selection of tools, you shouldn't have any problems.

I purchased this two days ago and feel like I was a pro installing the product. The instructions were spot on. The door opener is very quite and lifts my 7x8 wooden door with ease. Adjustments were spelled out, Now my son wants me to install one for him at his house. Thanks!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by middleman Great opener, Homelink disappointment
Really pleased with unit. I'm a DIYer and found the install straight forward, only hiccup was my misunderstanding on installing the tension control.
I was most pleased with the opener 'knowing' the opening and closing limits without me having to do any config. I also like the motion detector on the wall control that turns on the lights on the unit.
Biggest disappointment is that Homelink doesn't work with our 2012 Hyundai Elantra and it took going to online user groups to find out about the incompatibilities. I could understand if an older car, but I figured a new car and a new opener would work together.
Haven't tried the MyQ yet, but looking forward to use it soon.

This door opener is great! Quiet operation and a fairly easy install. The directions were clear with abundant pictures. Some mechanical understanding makes it much easier but even an average homeowner with basic skills can do the install without much difficulty. In my case, this was a replacement unit, so the attachment sites were already in place and with a small amount of new wiring the total time for removal of the old unit and replacement with the new one was accomplished in a matter of a few hours. Excellent quality and a good price. What you would expect from The Home Depot. Highly recommended!

I am extremely dissatisfied with this garage door opener. I specifically purchased this model because it was "home link" compatible. After installing, when I went to program the opener to my vehicle, it did not work.
After a frustrating call to their customer service department I find out that for it to work with my vehicle I must purchase another accessory. Oh, and it will cost an additional $25! Their answer is simply that the "home link" DOES work but you need the accessory. I now feel I was duped into spending extra money for no additional features and wish I would have gone with a less expensive competitor's model.
