After installing a new Chamberlain garage door opener, I read that there's also a Laser Garage Parking Assist accessory I could purchase that would directly connect into my new opener.
The reviews were mostly favorable, so I decided to place my order through Home Depot.
Installation, and connections were bullet proof.
Some things I've discovered, and others I'd like to see are as follows:
Either upon the garage door opener lights coming on, or crossing the path of the garage door safety beam, the laser parking assist will come on. It stays on for one minute, then goes off until the previous actions happen again.
When aiming the laser beam, one minute is not enough time, as I found myself climbing the ladder several times...Then I discovered that if you block the garage door safety beams with something, this laser light will stay on until you remove whatever you used to block one of the beams.
This made the task of aiming the parking assist much easier.
I tend to agree with a few other reviews about the laser itself. First, it's not really bright enough, and second, the actual "dot" is really small.
I wish it were brighter, and more so, that the dot was larger. Unless you know where you've aimed the dot, and are looking for it...Or it's dark out, there's a good chance you may miss the flashing laser dot upon parking.
Overall, this sure beats the tennis ball on a string, but the two mentioned improvements would make this accessory really stand out.
Does what it's designed to do, worth the cost, and ease of installation is a smart buy.

Super easy to install. Super easy to adjust. This is a much better guide than the tire bump you stick on the floor. I've had that bump in the past and when temperature is high like in the summer, the adhesive comes loose and every time your tire hits it, the bump moves and eventually comes off. I have this laser pointer aimed at a specific spot on the dashboard and each time I park I have my SUV positioned where i can just close the garage door without verifying if the rear of the SUV is safely in without being hit with the garage door closing down.

The laser pointers for the garage door openers are under powered. Difficult to see in the day time and almost impossible to see if you drive in with sunglasses on. They work if you concentrate on seeing the laser on your dash. They should be a brighter laser. Easy to install and adjust. Overall my tennis ball on a string worked better.

The laser is to dim... hard to see in day light, might return the product.
Quality is good.

The device was easy to set up, but really hard to use. The light blinks and is very small, so that it makes it hard to see. You have to drive very slow and watch real close to use it. We very seldom use it. I have had other devices that have worked well and were easy to see. This one disappointed me.

This laser parking assist is a life saver, my wife has a hard time knowing when to stop her car when she pulls it into the garage, and with this there is no guess work when the laster beam hits her dash board it is time to stop. So this has been a really big help. I couldn't see us not having this in our garage to help us to know when to stop and not hit anything ever again.
I would recommend this for everyone.

Had an issue with not driving in far enough to keep the garage door from scratching the rear bumper! Problem solved! The beam on he dash lets us know when we are in far enough! No obstructive equipment in the way, it is tucked away in the ceiling!
