TAZ, I do not believe they understood your question. You are asking if this is a Universal switch for your garage door opener? They are answering that it is not a remote. Please ask the question again in this thread.

I don't know. I have a Lift Master door opener. The Chamberlain model was a substitute for my old opener as they no longer made it.

Hi Taz! The Chamberlain model 935CB-02 wall control uses a direct wire connection to operate the garage door and turn on or off the lights. The wall control mounts to the wall and is connected through low voltage wires to the garage door motor heard. If you are looking for a replacement transmitter to operate Chamberlain garage door opener from your vehicle I would suggest the 953EV which is compatible with all Chamberlain garage door openers manufactured after 1993. If you have another brand of garage door opener then the Chamberlain Clicker model KLIK1U may be a better choice. Will this work in conjunction with original control panel?

I have a chamberlain opener connected to the original control panel which works perfectly fine. I was wondering if I can add this to the system so I can close the garage door when leaving from the garage door. I tried to use a door bell type switch but all it does is reset the clock on the original control panel.

Answer:
Hello EC - If your current door control shows the time, then you can't add an additional door control to the opener. The particular door control that you have only allows for one door control to added to the opener.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It states on home depot website works with all chamberlain openers. Not true it will not work on the newer My Q openers, After a call to Chamberlain to find the right, one.home depot does not show the button that works with the new openers. I had to buy one direct from chamberlain. and return this one. October 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Replacememt Super easy replacement for a 20 year old control pad. Motion sensor on this unit eliminates the need to turn the garage opener light on and off. All automatic. Sweet. October 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value Works great. Easy installation. Ordered to store and received the next day! October 4, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not "Universal" I bought this unit for the motion sensor capability and that it is labeled to work with all Chamberlain openers built after 1992. Well it does not work with the Chamberlain garage door opener that I bought from Home Depot 2 years ago Model number HD420EV. I bought two of these control panels and the one I installed at home (different Chamberlain opener) the new control panel works perfectly. I think this is a good product if it is compatible but it is NOT universal. August 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works perfect Had a Craftsman motion sensor opener control go out. Wired existing white and red wires to new control. Two minute install at less than half the price of the Craftsman replacement! September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy installation Replaces standard opener and adds motion activated light. September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by easy install, mostly I bought this to replace the switch on the wall that was installed with the opener when my condo was built. I had to fumble for the light switch when walking into the garage. I chose this one for the motion detecting functionality. It works with the existing wiring so the simple process was detach the original and replace it with this one. However the switch to turn off the auto on/off is on the right hand side of the component. The original unit was mounted right next to the door frame, making it nearly impossible to use the switch once it was installed. I had to add a low power box along the stud to mount it so that I could access the switch. Not a huge deal and I already had the box. Now when I open the door the light turns on automagically. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by defective and did not work. Although this is what was recommended, it is the wrong product for my application. I was directed to purchase this garage door opener for the door I purchased but it was the wrong application and did not work. I am not able to review how well it works. August 2, 2016
