Answer:
Hi FB - You do need a MyQ Garage. This unit comes with a Wi-Fi hub and a door sensor. You can add an additional door sensor for your second garage door opener. Each garage door will work independently from one another.

Answer:
Hello Kevin, and thank you for your question. At this time, the MyQ Garage supports two door sensors and 16 MyQ enabled devices. For more than two doors, another MyQ garage kit is needed. However, based on your feedback, we will consider this for a future enhancement to the MyQ Garage product line.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Only works on MYQ Hub not MYQ enabled openers Only get this if you are using the MYQ hub. The MYQ add on sensor only works with the MYQ hub. It does not work with the garage door openers that have the MYQ wifi built into the opener unit. Unfortunately the Chamberlain.com site does not clearly state this only works with the hub. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Installation of hardware is very simple and easy. Connecting to to home WiFi takes a a little more effort, if other nearby WiFi signals are within the area. I had to take my router down to the garage to ensure that the strongest continual signal was my home WiFi. After setup it is no problem and router could be re-positioned back upstairs. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonably reliable when not overheated Installation tip, I think. I installed two of these on side by side garage doors at the same time. One door partially shaded by an ornamental tree, the other in full pm sunlight. I mounted the two sensors with screws directly to a vertical metal stiffener of the door in both cases. after about a year the sensor on the un-shaded door failed. I measured the temperature of the inside mounting surface of the garage door late afternoon today, and it was 102F. The surrounding foam boards were significantly cooler. Next time, my replacement door sensor will be mounted to the foam board rather than the metal reinforcement. Situation probably aggravated since I live in the hot southwest. Just a thought. My wife loves the app. She previously had endless trouble with garage door remotes. July 12, 2015
