If you have a wink hub and account you can have it send alerts to multiple people. You can install the MyQ app on multiple phones and it will give a notification on each of them.

While it will only send to one E-mail address, most E-mail applications (such as Outlook) allow you to set up a rule. You can set it up so anything from that E-mail address is automatically forwarded to any other address you'd like. Not a function of this app, but an easy work around.

I think its based on the account, and it looks like it can not send to multiple text or emails. Could trick it by having send alert to your text and also a partners email.

You can control which alerts go to your smartphone via the app. the App pushes the alert like a text message but it is not a text or an email. Setting a individual alerts on the phones will affect which phones get the alerts.

It looks like it will only send it to the email with which you registered your account with. When you create a 'Rule' it doesn't give you option of entering an email. It uses the one configured with the account.

Yes, the MyQ app will let you know if the doors (up to 2) can be programmed an additional door sensor can be purchased. The app will also let you know if your doors are open or closed as a result of someone using a remote or wall control to open or close the doors. I hope this helps?

The wireless door sensor attaches to the garage door and does know when the garage door is open or close. Sensor has a ball inside and uses gravity to tell whether door is in open or close state then reports its status to the hub.

The door mounted sensor detects if the door is open or closed. It does not matter what caused the door to open/close... which could be a button press or the smart phone app.

Hello,
If I don't have iPhone on hand, can I still use the existing garage door( a Craftsman 1/2 HP model) remote to open/close the door? There is the key pad on the garage I use to manually open/close the door.

-Will both these options be available or is it with iPhone only ?
-Will it work with Craftsman 1/2 HP ?
Thanks!

MyQ Universal Smartphone Garage Door Controller is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 183.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Great Product but be careful when setting up the APP. 1) only create one log-in account to use with multiple mobile devices. When you enable the alerts on one device, they show up on all devices and you avoid creating repeated alerts. 2) I haven't found any issues with Apple phones, but Samsung phones (Android) likes to shut down notifications for this app to save battery power. As long as you open the app once a week this won't happen. But If you want to avoid the issue all together then go to your phone settings, click on battery, click on "details", find "Chamberlain", click on it and select "Turned off". It will stop Android from turning off notifications for the app.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very unreliable!! and fake messages I have it for a year. It sends you false messages that garage is opened and then closed. Made me leave my work twice. I had to go home and check if someone really opened my garage. I still use it but ignore false alarms, now thinking of putting a wifi camera ($$$) in garage to see if someone really opened it or not.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works great....when it does work The product works very well when it does work but there are too many instances when does not work. You can log into the app and open/close the garage with no issues and then suddenly have no access the very next hour. It does not matter if you are 20 miles away from from your home or 20 feet from your garage. If it decides not to work (often-for whatever reason) then you will have to open your garage from the remote or from the wall unit. The strength of your wi-fi also has no impact on whether or not it wants to work. The concept is a great idea but the product itself (or mainly the app) needs significant improvement. I cannot trust this product to do what it supposed to do while I am away and I will not recommend it. The failure rate is too high.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not stay online I've tried evry combinion/sugesstions from the site and the unit will not stay online. The IP address shows up on my router and I can ping the unit but the lights just keep on blinking. The unit is less than 50 feet from the router. Tested with my phone next to the unit and I have full bars. Would love to be able to use the unit but at this time I think I will eat my losses. Great idea but needs alot of work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be careful if you want SmartThings to work with it Over a year ago they and Samsung advertised that this product would work with SmartThings. Since then nothing has happened and the only community created device for MyQ has been BANNED by Chamberlin making it not work. I bought into MyQ because it did work with SmartThings and now it doesn't. VERY disappointed. If you want to remotely control your existing garage door look at a GoControl/Linear GD00Z-4 garage door opener. It works with most home automation systems and doesn't rely on the flaky MyQ or your garage door being a certain vintage since it hardwires directly to your door. Avoid Chamberlin until they start honoring their commitments.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not reliable connection with internet with in 60 days of installation now it fails to connect to internet. gave me false alarm of "garage open" while we all were out of town ...scaring us trying to reach chamberlains customer support hope they replace it
Date published: 2016-08-05
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fix the false alerts. Needs improvement software and hardware: Give false alerts. Door IS closed. Txt alert showing door is OPEN. Occur countless times for many months and counting. No fix from MyQ. Fix reliability issues. I have to pair thru app the garage door sensor and garage door opener many many times to have it operating again.
