Answer:
No, you need to have the rails, wheels, door and pulleys either already set up or buy them separately. I had everything already there since I was replacing an old system. The pulleys and wheels screeched but just lubricated them with some grease. Good as new!

Hi! The installed length of a standard WhisperDrive opener with 2 lights on the sides of the motor head is 123 inches. In cases such as yours, with a support beam in the way, you can cut some of the rail and belt in order to shorten the overall hanging length. The length that you remove from the rail will be lost in the distance that the door will open. For example: A standard operator will open a door Read More

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I was expecting Installed now for approximately 1 month. Some of the features are nice but overall, the sound is what ruins the product. November 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Garage Door System Picked up two of these up to install in my parents side-by-sde garage and they are exceptionally quiet! Installation required my Dad and me but that was mostly for removing the old systems. This system opens and closes the doors very smoothly and there is no rough jerking/loud screeching like there was on their old ones. Really makes the garage look brand new, especially with the laser sensors! If you are a car nut like me or like having a nice garage these are a necessity! Highly recommended! February 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very impressed Yes I agree it is not a whisper but compared to my chain driven door opener it is a walk in the park. I can hear my neighbors garage door opener's from my garage and I'm sure they did to. The installation was easy and professional. The only problem I ran into was my garage faces the hot afternoon sun. (New construction, no trees)The sun was beating on the one sensor and the door would not close. Later that evening when the sun went down it worked fine. The solution was mounting it to the wall instead of the track where it is shaded from the door.Works perfectly now. June 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product, software needs some work Well, it's not whisper quiet but it is quieter. We rent out an apartment above our garage and the tenant definitely noticed by not noticing the garage doors opening any more. We bought it with the tenant in mind and it definitely fulfilled that. Installation was fairly straight forward. It took some time but I think every garage door would take the same amount of time. A few things could be called out better in the written instructions but overall it was okay. Software is a little funky with nine and ten digit serial numbers. It all easier from the website. App works but not as friendly as the website. We bought the stop sensors too. They pulsate light...should be a constant light. We bought two of these. No regrets. March 23, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Home Depot sells openers they wont install not satisfied with home depot selling openers on their web page that the local Home Depot will not install. Right now I can only say I got a great deal on the sale price but as of yet have not got it installed despite all the references to how easy it would be do get connected with local Home Depot and get it up and running. I'll rate when I get it up and running by an independent contractor not associated with home depot. May 22, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than expected! I have never had a good experience with a garage door opener, until buying this one. The instructions were the most easy to fallow I have read in a long time. Installation took about three hours and not a single problem. The final adjustments were spot on with the manual. I will replace my other opener with one of these too. January 26, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not whisper quiet Unfortunately, this opener is not really any quieter than our Liftmaster chain opener was. Our main goal with this purchase was for a quieter motor and we don't feel we got that. I took Before & After videos of our garage door opening and closing and if I didn't know which one was Before or After, I'd have a hard time guessing which video was showcasing the new vs old opener! The only reason I'm not totally disappointed in our purchase is that we now have a wireless keypad to open the door with. February 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very good opener You need to open the package and count every item. Some items are packed inside foam and under the foam. If you follow the instructions, you want have to even set the limits if you already had a opener installed. Be sure to redo the wiring for sensor. Old wiring may not work. June 12, 2012
