Hello David, and thank you for your question. Yes, the light will turn on and stay on. There are several ways for the opener to be set up for the lights to turn on and then "time out", including when the unit runs and when someone walks in or out of the doorway. Hello cstreet, and thank you for your question. For clarity, we'll refer to the machine that physically raises and lowers your door as a garage door opener, and we will refer to the device you keep in your vehicle as a remote control. Each door requires it's own garage door opener, but you can use up to 12 remote controls for each garage door opener.

Hello, and thank you for your question. If the keypad is removed from it's installed location, a known, programmed PIN is still required to open the door. In short, no, the burglar could not open the door.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE IT! So quiet I can't hear the kid come in an night, ha! Touchpad access from outside with your personal code, battery backup, near dead quiet, unlike my previous chain drive that woke up the whole house and the remotes are working for us nearly a block away! Not only this, Home Depot's installer took just over an hour to remove my old and install this new opener. Just love it!! June 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Technology This garage door opener was a replacement for a 14yr old model. Installation was amazingly straight forward (Great Instructions) When they say whisper quiet they weren't exaggerating. I Love this opener, and all the features it has. For example, the motion detection feature. The lights come on when entering the garage. September 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My SECOND Clicker I just replaced the one I forgot in a rental (no one claimed to have seen it).... Anyway, I immediately went and bought the same clicker for my Chamberlain opener due to seamless programming coupled with flawless operation... A bit pricey, but previous owners didn't leave one-- what to do??? July 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chamberlain whisper drive The opener is amazingly quite. The wheels on the door are louder than the motor and belt system. Also the range of the remotes are very impressive. Installation is the only thing that has been a problem. Granted this was my first time installing an opener, and was easily worked through with the help of the internet. Great product! March 27, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not home link compatible Not home link compatible…Home link is the built in adaptor a number of cars uses for openers. The packaging lies! You need to buy an adaptor to make it compatible with most vehicles, even if the vehicle has home link. I have a 2008 GMC truck that has home link and it needed a $35 adaptor to make the home link work. For a top end opener they should include the adaptor. Only found out home link was not available after installation. Who is going to uninstall for a $35 adaptor. DO NOT BUY if you want your cars built in opener to work. The adaptor plugs into the wall making the battery backup worthless….what a joke. Buy a different opener. Only good part is the self closing timer. October 12, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best Garage Door Opener I Have Ever Owned! I replaced an old chain drive garage door opener with this one. I love all of the features it has including: It is extremely quiet. It has a motion detector to turn on the lights when you walk into the garage. It has a timer to close the door if it is left open. Clock and thermometer. Easy to program the wall mount remote and make adjustments to the door travel. Openers are pre programmed. It took me 3 hours to install this unit with very little help. My wife helped me install the belt and install the end of the track to the header in the garage. I did the rest on my own. November 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best garage door opener I've purchased Easy to install and super quiet, already had to use the back up battery during power outage January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as advertised Wow, what a difference a belt drive can make. Now if only we didn't have a clunky garage door . . . This was surprisingly easy to install, especially since we'd never installed a garage door opening before. We replaced a VERY noisy, old chain drive opener that wasn't too hard to take down. We put it all together on a long table and then mounted it to the ceiling in the same location as the old one. I thought the instructions could have been a little clearer, but we were able to figure it out correctly. You might be able to install this as a one person job using ladders to support the equipment, but by far it's easier as a 2 person job. Several things that I especially like: 1. The battery backup is a nice feature so I don't have to manually open the garage door should the power go out (and it works well). 2. The wireless entry keypad is great and was super easy to install. Now I don't have to purchase additional remotes and "learn" them. 3. All the devices (remotes, wired door opener switch) were already programmed for the opener. There really was no setup required. Now, in reference to the noise (or lack thereof): It's a love/hate relationship. Our old clunky chain drive would always let me know when hubbie was home, but now - not so much. This is a very quiet opener and that's what we wanted. Oh well, the sacrifices we make . . . right? January 23, 2016
