I want a 50/50 mix. Water to chemical...what setting do I use

Asked by: Carolyn
I don't think it will work. The largest (smallest?) ratio is 8 oz of solution to 1 gallon of water. I had to email the company to find out what the dial markings meant.

Super easy to set the concentration of agent to water. Metering of correct concentration seems pretty accurate. I sprayed a qt of Spectracide concentrate today going after sod web worms in area about 4,000 sqft. Too much for pump up sprayer. I've even used the Chameleon to spray ultra-high concentration bleach (I made from swimming pool shock) on my roof to get ride of black mold (north side). I thought the bleach would ruin it but no. I do clean it thoroughly after each use and make sure all is dry before putting it away; never leave it in the sun. Even the label is still in great shape. I could not ask for anything more. GREAT tool.

It released concentrate solution at much faster rate than what's set on dial. It does not spray more than 2-3 feet, regardless of water pressure. The pull handle to start spraying gets stuck. Even after manually releasing the pull handle, water leaks

It may have been because of the low number setting I had it on? I was following the directions of the spray product for the setting. It would only squirt out about 3 feet and had no pressure when doing so. My faucet and hose normally have really good pressure so the sprayer was slowing it down alot. I have used products in the past that had the sprayer already attached to them and they always sprayed strong. Anyway, I was disappointed in this sprayer and will try it again in the future and hope it works better on a different product and a different setting.

I have used a number of hose-end sprayers, many of which require mixing content in order to get the right ratios for proper spraying. This sprayer has almost every possible spray rate on the large, easy to read and easy to set dial, so setting up for spray is a breeze. Plus, the quick release hose adapter and integrated trigger allow for adding concentrate when needed and adjusting the hose/moving around one's property without having to drag things back to the spigot. This is a great unit, highly recommended!

Also, the settings lower than 4 tsp which are: 1 TBS, 2 tsp, 1.5 tsp and 1 tsp, would not draw at all. Water pressure was not the problem. I actually tried blowing into the straw at these settings, and either no air would pass through, or very little. Moving the dial and blowing air into the straw on the larger settings worked. I tested this sprayer in a bucket with colored water at the 1 oz setting, and it did not draw the correct amount of fluid from the container.
