I knew this was a little undersized for our home, but it fit in the budget and we hoped it would be enough. It's been fantastic.
We couldn't be happier with the performance. I installed a drain pump as well that empties the water every 8 hours and I think that has really made it great.
Our typical August bill is around $400; according to SCE this one will be $130.
Good cooling, great savings, little/no maintenance. Exactly what I was looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Ralph works perfectly
Ordered it on line, was delivered after reasonable time, had a professional install it, and it is working great! Yes I can recommend this one for a single wide mobile home or similar sized house. It may work well in a double wide mobile too. So far I havn't had to use the high speed setting!

We have had evap coolers for over 30 years. This is our 3rd Champion. They have a great product, except ours came with a dent on the roof, and a bolt was missing on the motor support. I repaired both problems. The units are simple in construction are are cost effective to run. I sprayed auto undercoating inside the pan to extend the life of the cooler.

I have air conditioning through out my home, however, my bill in summer was sky-high. I bought this evaporative cooler and it is so powerful! It cools my home perfectly, my plants are thriving, and the best deal is: I can run it day and night without my electric bill jumping the charts.

Bought this cooler about 18 months ago. Have slashed our home cooling costs versus AC. We live in the foothills of California at about 2700 feet. Our home is about 2600 sq ft. Although undersized it still works great (granted we close off most of the bedrooms). I use it as a surrogate whole house fan and blow out all the hot air each morning in the spring and fall. In the summer we run it nearly all day and our power bill only rises like $50.
I recommend the model without the remote. I bought the remote model and the relay on the integrated circuit board died about 14 months in. I converted it to the manual dial as opposed to digital as the dial should last forever. Other than that it is great. Customer service was great when the board fried. I plan to buy another smaller unit for our master bedroom.
