Econ mode idling is listed at 53dba on the Amazon site. I've had it running next to Yamaha and Honda units and it's on par with them. We run 1 to several fans off the unit and they are louder than the generator!! Hasn't been enough draw to take it off econ idle mode yet..
I haven't seen anybody listing a full power dba rating. I've got a dba meter on order for another job and if I remember I'll update

Answer:
This generator will work at high elevation. However, you will lose 3.5% of the generator's capacity for every 1,000 ft. above sea level. There is no high altitude jet for the 80cc engine used in this inverter.

Answer:
Depending on the size, which you did not mention, the answer is maybe, but probably not. If you have a 13.5k AC as many new small to medium sized RV's do, you will require 2 of these connected with the Parallel Operations Kit to power it. I opted for this method over the larger 3100 as it allows me to not lug around a 100lb generator when I know I won't need the AC.

Answer:
In order to run a common RV AC unit, you will need two of these generators running in parallel. Even most window AC units have a higher starting wattage than this generator can provide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome little generator!! i purchased this generator about year ago, to take camping with me, and for the unlikely event of a prolonged power outage at home. with every use, it has performed flawlessly, starts without a glitch, and powers all of the equipment that i hook to it. when it is in whisper mode, at a distance of about 50 ft (one extension cord) you dont even know its there. overall very pleased with this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent easy to use Bought this for my travel trailer. Excellent quality and easy to use. 1-3 pull and it starts. I ran this unit side by side at campground with Honda and I can't seem to see any major operation difference rather than the cost. I have it for 2 seasons now and it runs like new. I would recommend this to anyone. Make sure to read manual fully and follow through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always starts on first pull I bought this unit last year. I don't use it a lot, just when we camp to recharge RV battery. However, it always start on the first pull. Noise level is just what it states. It's automatic power boost is a feature I would not what to be without. Great fuel enconomy too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item Was looking for a quiet and inexpensive(I'm cheap) generator. Good friend has a Yamaha and this is on par with the sound level. The fan we use at events is louder than the generator!! After quite a bit of checking and a couple returns this unit fits the bill. Accurate description on the web about it and easy to operate. Added the oil(funnel supplied), fuel and started 2nd pull.. After using many times it's still firing right up.. Also great with the fuel shut-off so you can run the carb dry with this crud Ethanol usage. I highly recommend Sta-Bil, Sea Foam or a similar product even for normal usage. Thanks EPA <-- not. Great Product with FREE delivery to the house.. Thanks Home Depot ! ! !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job! I bought two of these generators. I camp in a truck camper in the winter and needed to run a space heater for the really cold nights. In the 20's the generator ran my space heater for 5 hours, in the 40's it runs for 10 hours. They are relatively quiete especially on eco mode. I run my computer and charge my phone also. So far I am very happy, they fired right up when I got them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Started first pull Very happy: Started first pull right out of the box.. And so far has started first pull every time I've used it ,to power my 25 ft travel trailer on 3 separate camping trips ( Ny state campgounds with no hook ups)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The generators will not work I bought two inverters and the parallel kit to power our new RV. I brought them home and tried to start them in the driveway just so I could see if they worked. One started and ran and the second one never did start. I took it back to where it was purchased and they replaced it. That one started in the driveway just fine. I hooked up one generator to the RV to charge the battery and as soon as it was under load the generator quit and never started again. So I started the second one at home and put a load on it and it quit and never started again. The two generators have been in the shop for over a month and have still never been used for what we bought them for. I called Champion and their techs were very polite and seemed to want to help, but they kept asking me to take the generator apart and try this or that. I am not a mechanic and these are new units. I should not be expected to do the work. Only after much pushing was I provided with the name of a warranty repair shop in my area. It would have been a better experience if the tech had provided the warranty shop info right from the start.
