Customer Questions & Answers

Can 2 of these generators be linked with a parallel kit to double output ?

Asked by: Jake
This unit can not be paired with another generator. They do have 2,000 watt inverter type that can be paired. But this unit alone will run pretty much everything in an rv.

Run Time Question

What kind of run time length do you think I would get on this running a 13,500 btu A/C low pro rv unit. and using the dc charger
Asked by: candlken
At half power it will run 8 hours on a gallon and a half of gas. With my rv ac running I got 6 hours. Alot depends on the ac and how many amps it takes to run.

What is the DB at full power

just wondering what the DB rating will be when running an RV air conditioner
Asked by: Lesb
We don't use for an air conditioner, but my experience is that this generator is extremely quiet. I would have to measure exactly with a dB meter, but even at high (non-ECO) run, it is MUCH quieter than larger, lawn mower sized generator motors, which run at 80dB or higher. I am impressed, I just cannot give you an actual dB.

3,100-Watt Gasoline Powered Recoil Start Portable Inverter Generator is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 135.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase Got it for camping and in case of power outage. Came all put together. Put in gas and oil turned it on started first pull ran great and quiet enough to talk next to it without yelling plenty of power for my 30' travel trailer and enough to power the essential items at home fridge, freezer,tv,radio, and clean power for sensitive electronics with no problems. Like the handle and wheels and two carry handles to transport. Like the low idle switch so it isn't wasting fuel unnecessarily. I will only put fuel without ethanol in it cause it will only gum up the fuel system and it does not store as well or as long as regular or premium fuel. Overall great product so far time will tell, if anything changes I will update this post.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Campers dream! We bought this to go to the races with our new camper! For 6 days it ran like a dream! It used minimal gas and the noise it made was almost non-existent! We were a little hesitant to get a generator due to the noise that some of them make, and didn't want to disturb the other Campers. This one has a 30 amp plug to rung the camper and the air conditioning and it worked like a charm! We actually got about 12 hours out of it on a full tank, not running the air (of course). I highly recommend this product, my husband and I are very happy with our purchase! Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It runs my Domestic 13,500 BTU Air Conditioner I have been looking for a reliable quiet inverter/generator to power my travel trailer. In 2014, I bought a brand new 2014 Keystone Springdale 189FLWE. It came pre-installed with a Domestic Air Conditioner 13,500 BTU (model B57915). Some say that this inverter will NOT run a Domestic 13,500 BTU Air Conditioner. So I've decided to try this myself, and WOW!!!!! This Champion inverter started up my 13,500 BTU WITHOUT any issue!!! It could run on the quiet Economic mode too. (I also heard that it could ran a Domestic 15,000 BTU) More details... Yesterday, I went to a Camping World store near my town. The store happened to have 2 units in stock so I purchased one. Today, I unpacked the inverter, added 0.6qt of engine oil (10W 30), then added unleaded gasoline about 3/4 of gallon. - Turned the Gas switch to ON, - Choke OUT - Turned the Start switch to ON - Pulled The inverter started right up on the 1st pull. I let it ran in the Economic Mode OFF for a few minutes, then later changed it to ON. I went into my trailer, turned everything off, including the refrigerator. Went back out to the inverter, plugged in my RV 3-prongs cord to the the inverter. Went back into my trailer and then turn my Domestic 13,500 BTU A/C to ON. The A/C unit started and ran with no issue. I then let the A/C ran for a few minutes before turned on my refrigerator and other electronic devices. My 1st day with the Champion Power Equipment 3100W was a success!!!!! All I can say is.... It works! It's very quiet for it size (58dB). It's a great prize! And my wife is now super happy to hear that this year she can stay cool in at the fairground. Happy camping folks!!! :-) PS. One person I'd like thanks was the user called "Luigi". His reviews boosted up my confidence and encourage me to purchase this unit.

Home Depot shipped it to my house and I filled it with gas and oil and got it started on the first pull. I went inside to tell my wife how it started right up and she did not even hear it running right outside the door. It is well built, on strudy wheels and I have no problem lifting it up to my truck bed (I am 64 Y/O and I have a high bed pickup truck). I recommend this product.

I bought this as a backup to keep things keep our electronics going in an outage. My wife works doing Medical case review from the house and can't afford and interruption in power. Also to power our high wall popup.I did a fair amount of looking and the fact that it has a bit more output than the red version at $ 200 dollars less, Sealed the deal. Un-boxed it, added oil and fuel. Gave it several pulls with the fuel and ignition off to distribute the oil. Turned the both on fired up on the second pull. The fit and finish is very good and nice and quite. For the features and price it can't be beat. So far have run it for about an hour to start the break-in process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Quiet I just received my new champion 3100 watt inverter model 75531i and I fell in love with it right out of the box. Adding the oil was very easy and appears to be just as easy to change with the drain tube already attached for when that time comes. After adding oil I put about a gallon of gas in it, choked it, pulled 3 times and it took off. Runs like a top. I could not believe how quiet it was. You can literally stand right next to it and have a conversation. I cannot wait to try it out camping this spring and summer. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a great inverter for camping. It is easy to handle which will be great for loading and unloading when getting to the campsite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing generator I bought this generator over a year ago. I use it on my boat since my boat did not come with a generator. It powers the air conditioner, heat and coffee maker with ease. Then it happen. While loading it on the boat at the dock, I lost my balance and in the water we went. The generator was completely submerged in the lake! I thought it was ruined for sure! I was able to pull it out with some help. Then a buddy of mine suggested we let it dry out, change the oil and air filter. After letting it dry out for 3 hours and about 10 pulls of the rope the darn thing started and ran everything. It hasn't missed a beat since. It's an amazing product, especially if it survived my stupidity and a dip in the lake!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not too heavy and quiet enough Good little generator. Starts easy. The wheels r convenient for concrete but useless on gravel. I'm 6 feet tall 190 pounds and in pretty good shape. I have no problem at all getting the generator in the back of my f250. It is heavy but the handles r good. I wouldn't want to carry it the length of a football field but I could if I absolutely had to. Haven't ran it empty yet so I can't say anything on run time. I compared this to the Honda 2000 watt. It is a little louder but it has a lot more power. If u imagine 2 Hondas running side by side that's about how loud this guy is. It's also as heavy as 2 Hondas. I'm recommending this generator to my buddy
