Answer:
We don't use for an air conditioner, but my experience is that this generator is extremely quiet. I would have to measure exactly with a dB meter, but even at high (non-ECO) run, it is MUCH quieter than larger, lawn mower sized generator motors, which run at 80dB or higher. I am impressed, I just cannot give you an actual dB.

Answer:
Standing next to the unit you can easily have a normal conversation while it's running under a full load. In Econ mode, it's exceptionally quiet. I looked at a 2000 Watt honda and this unit is only slightly louder under load, and the honda was exceptionally quiet. If you are running an RV this will be a great unit.

Answer:
I am sure there are quieter units out there but for half or even a third of the cost of other units I am very happy with this. From inside of the camper the A/C unit is louder then the generator. Standing next too the generator you can still have a conversation. I have a generator the house that is 3100 watts and this unit is much quieter than the house unit. 40 feet away it is almost soundless.

Answer:
expect 65 db at 23 feet ,full load. This one runs my TT 13.5K AC at Eco mode. Eco mode is quieter at 60-62 db. I live at 5000 feet so maybe that is why its little bit louder then advertised.

Answer:
Possibly. By powering a 120v/230v transformer and therefore stepping up the voltage from the 120 v. Generator to the 240v necessary to operate the pump this should solve your problem but you should consult with a professional to determine the amp draw on the pump and calculate if this size generator is capable of handling the load requirements.

No when you tie in the two 60hz systems it will end up sending double the load through the neutral wire. Very dangerous

I would be very careful running it on a generator. I work for a pump wholesaler and just sold a $3,000 set up to a guy that fried his whole system. I would get an expert out to evaluate and set it up.

I ran mine for about 3 hours with a 15000 btu A/C unit. I would bet its a similar load with the dc charger and 13,500 btu A/C.

3,100-Watt Gasoline Powered Recoil Start Portable Inverter Generator is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 118.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Generator I have this one for about a year and took it on long trips including on from FL to AK. Pro: Reasonable noise, can start my 15 btu Dometic A/C (but beware of possible additional power draw by your DC converter - up to 1 kw which can cause overload), Remote is fantastic - no need to disconnect the cable. 100 hour oil change interval Not so good: Small 1.6 gallon tank - last only 4 hrs with A/C running Need to disconnect cable when starting manual. No reset button when overloaded, must stop and restart motor. The Bad: If it is very hot outside and the engine is hot it won't start easily, need too cool it down for a couple of minutes. Other: Heavy, high power reduction in mountains over 5000 ft

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase Got it for camping and in case of power outage. Came all put together. Put in gas and oil turned it on started first pull ran great and quiet enough to talk next to it without yelling plenty of power for my 30' travel trailer and enough to power the essential items at home fridge, freezer,tv,radio, and clean power for sensitive electronics with no problems. Like the handle and wheels and two carry handles to transport. Like the low idle switch so it isn't wasting fuel unnecessarily. I will only put fuel without ethanol in it cause it will only gum up the fuel system and it does not store as well or as long as regular or premium fuel. Overall great product so far time will tell, if anything changes I will update this post.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Campers dream! We bought this to go to the races with our new camper! For 6 days it ran like a dream! It used minimal gas and the noise it made was almost non-existent! We were a little hesitant to get a generator due to the noise that some of them make, and didn't want to disturb the other Campers. This one has a 30 amp plug to rung the camper and the air conditioning and it worked like a charm! We actually got about 12 hours out of it on a full tank, not running the air (of course). I highly recommend this product, my husband and I are very happy with our purchase! Thank you.

Home Depot shipped it to my house and I filled it with gas and oil and got it started on the first pull. I went inside to tell my wife how it started right up and she did not even hear it running right outside the door. It is well built, on strudy wheels and I have no problem lifting it up to my truck bed (I am 64 Y/O and I have a high bed pickup truck). I recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It runs my Domestic 13,500 BTU Air Conditioner I have been looking for a reliable quiet inverter/generator to power my travel trailer. In 2014, I bought a brand new 2014 Keystone Springdale 189FLWE. It came pre-installed with a Domestic Air Conditioner 13,500 BTU (model B57915). Some say that this inverter will NOT run a Domestic 13,500 BTU Air Conditioner. So I've decided to try this myself, and WOW!!!!! This Champion inverter started up my 13,500 BTU WITHOUT any issue!!! It could run on the quiet Economic mode too. (I also heard that it could ran a Domestic 15,000 BTU) More details... Yesterday, I went to a Camping World store near my town. The store happened to have 2 units in stock so I purchased one. Today, I unpacked the inverter, added 0.6qt of engine oil (10W 30), then added unleaded gasoline about 3/4 of gallon. - Turned the Gas switch to ON, - Choke OUT - Turned the Start switch to ON - Pulled The inverter started right up on the 1st pull. I let it ran in the Economic Mode OFF for a few minutes, then later changed it to ON. I went into my trailer, turned everything off, including the refrigerator. Went back out to the inverter, plugged in my RV 3-prongs cord to the the inverter. Went back into my trailer and then turn my Domestic 13,500 BTU A/C to ON. The A/C unit started and ran with no issue. I then let the A/C ran for a few minutes before turned on my refrigerator and other electronic devices. My 1st day with the Champion Power Equipment 3100W was a success!!!!! All I can say is.... It works! It's very quiet for it size (58dB). It's a great prize! And my wife is now super happy to hear that this year she can stay cool in at the fairground. Happy camping folks!!! :-) PS. One person I'd like thanks was the user called "Luigi". His reviews boosted up my confidence and encourage me to purchase this unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Generator I've had this a little over a year and it works great. Quiet, reliable generator. If the air conditioner in the camper is running with the microwave it will normally trip the generator though. Just shut it down when using the microwave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my 5th Wheel I was in the market for a generator solely for the purpose of backup from RV Park Power as I do not dry camp often. I started doing research and was steered towards the typical Honda and Yamaha - but I didn't want to pay almost 3 times the price. Champion set a clear path of great reviews so I decided to invest in one. First weekend I bought it I ran it through it's paces - started and maintained the 13,500 AC no problems, kicked on the coffee pot too no problems. The generator is impressively quiet. I am pleased, this is the generator performance I was seeking - and this unit showed up to work.
