Answer:
We don't use for an air conditioner, but my experience is that this generator is extremely quiet. I would have to measure exactly with a dB meter, but even at high (non-ECO) run, it is MUCH quieter than larger, lawn mower sized generator motors, which run at 80dB or higher. I am impressed, I just cannot give you an actual dB.

Answer:
Standing next to the unit you can easily have a normal conversation while it's running under a full load. In Econ mode, it's exceptionally quiet. I looked at a 2000 Watt honda and this unit is only slightly louder under load, and the honda was exceptionally quiet. If you are running an RV this will be a great unit.

Answer:
I am sure there are quieter units out there but for half or even a third of the cost of other units I am very happy with this. From inside of the camper the A/C unit is louder then the generator. Standing next too the generator you can still have a conversation. I have a generator the house that is 3100 watts and this unit is much quieter than the house unit. 40 feet away it is almost soundless.

Answer:
expect 65 db at 23 feet ,full load. This one runs my TT 13.5K AC at Eco mode. Eco mode is quieter at 60-62 db. I live at 5000 feet so maybe that is why its little bit louder then advertised.

Answer:
I ran the generator for 4 hours with the 13,500 btu A/C on all the time and the outside fridge too and ran out of gas. Had to refill it when it cooled off.

I ran mine for about 3 hours with a 15000 btu A/C unit. I would bet its a similar load with the dc charger and 13,500 btu A/C.

Answer:
No when you tie in the two 60hz systems it will end up sending double the load through the neutral wire. Very dangerous

Answer:
I would be very careful running it on a generator. I work for a pump wholesaler and just sold a $3,000 set up to a guy that fried his whole system. I would get an expert out to evaluate and set it up.

Answer:
Unfortunately, this particular model does not. However, we do have inverter models of this size available through Home Depot that do feature parallel capability.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 75 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Little Generator Assembly consisted of adding the oil which came with it and of course my own gasoline. It cranked on the second pull and ran quietly. Noise volume increases slightly as the load goes up because it necessarily runs faster. I hooked it up to my 21-foot travel trailer and it ran the A/C, fridge and lights with no problem. In order to run other higher load items such as the microwave oven or slide-out, the A/C had to be temporarily turned off to prevent an overload situation. As it only weighs 84 pounds, I can live with that. July 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super Quiet I use this to power my 30 amp travel trailer, It powers the AC and all other devices just fine. Super quiet and i am very pleased. I have not tried to see how many devices it would do at the same time but i am sure it will do what i need it to do. June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great rv generator have used for a year now put 180 hours on it will run a/c no problem it will run 12 hours plus on economy mode running fan in travel trailer i don't know about the negative reviews just buy it you will be happy you did June 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for my 5th Wheel I was in the market for a generator solely for the purpose of backup from RV Park Power as I do not dry camp often. I started doing research and was steered towards the typical Honda and Yamaha - but I didn't want to pay almost 3 times the price. Champion set a clear path of great reviews so I decided to invest in one. First weekend I bought it I ran it through it's paces - started and maintained the 13,500 AC no problems, kicked on the coffee pot too no problems. The generator is impressively quiet. I am pleased, this is the generator performance I was seeking - and this unit showed up to work. August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Starts On The First Pull Everytime! I purchased a Champion 75531i 3100W Inverter Generator and so glad I did. I use it to run the electricity in my Coachman Clipper travel trailer. The generator really performed running the air conditioner this Summer. I've had other campers ask me about the brand and wattage because it runs so quietly. They are surprised that it's a Champion. The generator arrived in great shape, was well packed and undamaged. The directions were easy to follow. I put in the recommended oil and it started after three pulls. I have kept it in storage for weeks at a time and it always starts on the first pull! I have also used it working in the yard with my electric clippers and weed eater. I definitely recommend this product! August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent Very good generator for the money not one problem yet. August 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best little genny for our RV adventures We have had several generators over the last two decades and this genny has exceeded our expectations. Being avid boondockers we rely on solar and this generator to provide the power we might need. It is very quiet and is very conservative with fuel surpassing all previous generators. The price makes it an all around good buy. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Generator I've had this a little over a year and it works great. Quiet, reliable generator. If the air conditioner in the camper is running with the microwave it will normally trip the generator though. Just shut it down when using the microwave. August 2, 2016
