Answer:
We don't use for an air conditioner, but my experience is that this generator is extremely quiet. I would have to measure exactly with a dB meter, but even at high (non-ECO) run, it is MUCH quieter than larger, lawn mower sized generator motors, which run at 80dB or higher. I am impressed, I just cannot give you an actual dB.

Answer:
Standing next to the unit you can easily have a normal conversation while it's running under a full load. In Econ mode, it's exceptionally quiet. I looked at a 2000 Watt honda and this unit is only slightly louder under load, and the honda was exceptionally quiet. If you are running an RV this will be a great unit.

Answer:
I am sure there are quieter units out there but for half or even a third of the cost of other units I am very happy with this. From inside of the camper the A/C unit is louder then the generator. Standing next too the generator you can still have a conversation. I have a generator the house that is 3100 watts and this unit is much quieter than the house unit. 40 feet away it is almost soundless.

Answer:
expect 65 db at 23 feet ,full load. This one runs my TT 13.5K AC at Eco mode. Eco mode is quieter at 60-62 db. I live at 5000 feet so maybe that is why its little bit louder then advertised.

Answer:
Possibly. By powering a 120v/230v transformer and therefore stepping up the voltage from the 120 v. Generator to the 240v necessary to operate the pump this should solve your problem but you should consult with a professional to determine the amp draw on the pump and calculate if this size generator is capable of handling the load requirements.

Answer:
No when you tie in the two 60hz systems it will end up sending double the load through the neutral wire. Very dangerous

Answer:
I would be very careful running it on a generator. I work for a pump wholesaler and just sold a $3,000 set up to a guy that fried his whole system. I would get an expert out to evaluate and set it up.

I ran mine for about 3 hours with a 15000 btu A/C unit. I would bet its a similar load with the dc charger and 13,500 btu A/C.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 97 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase Got it for camping and in case of power outage. Came all put together. Put in gas and oil turned it on started first pull ran great and quiet enough to talk next to it without yelling plenty of power for my 30' travel trailer and enough to power the essential items at home fridge, freezer,tv,radio, and clean power for sensitive electronics with no problems. Like the handle and wheels and two carry handles to transport. Like the low idle switch so it isn't wasting fuel unnecessarily. I will only put fuel without ethanol in it cause it will only gum up the fuel system and it does not store as well or as long as regular or premium fuel. Overall great product so far time will tell, if anything changes I will update this post. September 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great generator! I bought this to power my travel trailer. It handled the A/C with no problem. I highly recommend the Champion 3100W. September 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very good for RV Up and running within minutes. Powers everything in our RV and much quieter than our old onan. October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing generator I bought this generator over a year ago. I use it on my boat since my boat did not come with a generator. It powers the air conditioner, heat and coffee maker with ease. Then it happen. While loading it on the boat at the dock, I lost my balance and in the water we went. The generator was completely submerged in the lake! I thought it was ruined for sure! I was able to pull it out with some help. Then a buddy of mine suggested we let it dry out, change the oil and air filter. After letting it dry out for 3 hours and about 10 pulls of the rope the darn thing started and ran everything. It hasn't missed a beat since. It's an amazing product, especially if it survived my stupidity and a dip in the lake! September 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Champion Inverter/Generator is one of the BEST! I purchased this last year during the big wind storm in November. Knocked out power for five days. This little baby arrived in 2 days and saved our tooshies. It is quiet, appears to respond quickly to change in load and kept the lights, TV, furnace fan, and my wifes hair dryer running (on low) without problems. I have recently added a changeover panel getting reading for this years weather. Just bought a fifth wheel and will use it for this also. October 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quite,Easy to use Quite unit, great unit to power my rv. Used in campground with no complaints from neighbor campers. October 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Choke Problems I purchased this generator new in 8/2013. When I received it the choke was broken. Champion sent me the part to have it fixed. It has never run right from the beginning. I had it worked on again (I paid for it this time). Ran good for a while but now the choke is broken AGAIN! Called Champion and was "told" they would pay to have it fixed eventhough it is 3 years old. It is currently at the shop so I truly hope they honor their word and pay for the repairs yet again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This generator I'd the best This is a well made unit that is user friendly I do wish that they offered a portable extended run tank system October 21, 2016
