Answer:
Not sure Jack. They cut 1/8" galvanized with ease. Stainless could be a whole different matter. If there are consumer grade pliers that can cut it, these would probably be the tool.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool Just what I needed to undo a poor rivet tool, uncut stem. November 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality and Price Efficient! I thought I had a cutoff tool for some roofing nails which I had to eliminate. Notsomuch; it just wasn't working. So I ran to Home D for a bigger/better/faster solution - at first I thought the pricing for this item was a little high. . . I was wrong. These nipping pliers worked great - did the job and would do a thousand more without lessening the structural stability of the tool, I'm guessing. WORTH THE MONEY! I gave these to the guy who helped me that day because he liked them SO much - will be headed back to Home D to get myself a pair! Love you, Home Depot! I don't even go to Lowe's and they are closer to my house. February 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does its job Does exactly what it is meant for. Stays sharp cuts easily. August 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nippers Work very well. Would highly recommend to a friend. July 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Made In USA 90% of all of my pliers are Channelock. Fine quality and durability that you would expect from a tool forged in the USA. Home Depot was the ONLY retailer that had these great 10" nippers readily available. For those that complain about the price: 1.They were very reasonably priced at Home Depot. 2.You get what you pay for. July 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Old house rehab When you want to save old trim in my1927 house. This is the tool to use. I would highly recommend this tool. December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well I had to remove and replace wood fascia on the gable end of my house that had been destroyed by carpenter bees. The drip edge on the roof had been nailed down into the facia. So when I pryed away the facia I had lots of nails protruding that needed to be snipped before installing new boards. This tool was perfect for that job. Long handles gave me leverage to quickly cut over 100 nails. September 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy-duty end-nipper pliers These end-nipper pliers are invaluable as one needs to remove finish nails without marring the wood, and in some rare cases to re-insert a nail in the same area. July 29, 2014
