Answer:
In the U.S., it is common to refer to this type of plier as having a "box joint" construction as there is no specific designation under ASME standards in which all of our pliers comply. European standards of ISO 5742:2004 differentiate a box joint, from a single and a lap. ISO definition of "box joint" pertains to the internal intersecting of two handles through an open slot within the body of the plier. Read More

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 6 In. Diagonal Box Joint Cutting Pliers - Floral replacement pliers I brought these pliers because they felt study and similar to ones I had years ago when I took a floral arrangement class. They were the perfect fit for what I needed and I can use them on other projects as well. Good steady, cutting edge. March 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Made in the USA Hand tools are something you should be able to pass down to your grandchildren. These are excellent quality and made in the USA. They cost more than junk made in China, but you will never buy another pair of these. I have broken several Chinese cutters over the years, the steel used is simply not the same. Buy American and never look back. June 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Only the best. It's easy to pick up a pair of generic or store brand set of tools to finish an odd ball job, but if you have the extra $5 dollars to spend on a much better tool, then go for it! The feel and product quality is superior to the rest of the store brand stuff. January 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great features Good fits in tight areas. light yet strong.. Fit in pocket while climbing and doesn't pull jeans down to your ankles. April 29, 2014
