Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Cutting Pliers for the DIYer or Home Owners who need a quality tool Being the Son of an Electrician / Electrical Contractor I have grown up around Quality Tools from a very young age. This said, I have always been partial to Klein, Snap On & MAC Tools, however I must state the quality of this tool is just as good & solid as all of them. On or In my Tool Belt Pouch the Blue of the tell tale sign of Channel Locks... My opinion of how they feel in your hand when using is a natural extension of one's hand. Quality Tool & the pricing is fair. I trust Channel Locks by name extension alone now. My Cutters I carry are my Channel Locks 7 in. Diagonal Cutting Pliers because they simply put "WORK". The Plier is a touch smaller & they have a good feel to them in tight places like electrical boxes... My wife has also used these & she liked the fit to her hand & she is a petite Filipina. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GOOD PAIR OF DIAGONAL CUTTERS Good cutters that cut clean, The handles are a bit short, better for people with smaller hands. July 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great CUTS CHANNEL LOCK is a name I've used for over 50 years, I have never been disappointed with their products. These 7" diagonal cutting pliers are just the right size for all my electrical projects. May 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice side cutters I've used a different brand of side cutters for over 20 years. This is my first time trying Channel Lock side cutters. You can see the tool is machined tight. There's nothing worse than a loose set of cutting pliers. The handle is a good fit. The thinner head profile lets you get into tighter places. I've been using these at work for the last few days and I've already thrown my old side cutters in the spare tool bin. May 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CHANNELLOCK quality pliers I will admit there are a few brands of tools I am partial to, and CHANNELLOCK is one of them. All of the CHANNELLOCK tools I have owned over the years have held up very well, and I see no reason why these pliers will be any different. Many (probably most) hand tools these days are made in China. "Fiercely made in Meadville, PA" is clearly on the packaging for these tools. Some of the quality features include laser heat-treated cutting edges for longer life, and precision-machined knife and anvil-style cutting edges for a superior cut. The blue "comfort grip" rubber handles extend completely to the ends of the handles, which I like. (On many tools today, the grips stop short of the end of the handle.) In terms of usability, these pliers are a little over 7" long, and cut well for their size. Depending on what you are doing, you might consider smaller/shorter diagonal pliers if you are cutting small wire or need to be in small spaces. If you are cutting heavy wire, you may want to consider 8" or larger pliers, or pliers with some kind of pivot or other mechanical advantage that gives you more power than just handle length. But I find 7" to be a good intermediate size of diagonal pliers. I expect I will get many years of good use out of these pliers, and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality diagonal cutting pliers. July 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid cutting pliers These diagonal cutting pliers are one of the better cutting pliers I have used. They are tight solid cutters, I have had some that were not good clean cutters but these cut cleanly and easily. They fit well in the hand and are well made. They work well in tight areas when you need a good neat cut. I would recommend these to anyone who needs a sharp, easy to use pair of pliers. January 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Pliers I got these pliers because at the time, I had to put up a new fence for my chicken run and figured they would be useful. I ordered 150 ft. of green, plastic coated fencing from Home Depot and would need something to be able to cut it. I did not own any wire cutters previously. They were delivered within the week. The wire I ordered was pretty thick, but these cutting pliers took care of the job in nothing flat. The rubber handles made them easy to handle, comfortable to hold, and they will not slip out of your hand while working. They cut cleanly and effortlessly. They were a good choice and I am glad Home Depot offered them. June 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality Control Needed I desperately needed a new pair of diagonal cutting pliers. My old ones wouldn't cut weed eater line, just mash it to submission. These cut very well; clean, neat cut. I liked the motto "Fiercely Made in Meadville, PA", and would think that "American Pride" was used in their making. The lower score on quality was because there were sharp burrs on the outside edges. These burrs caught on my hands as I inspected the diagonal cutting pliers. I took a file and removed the burrs; now it doesn't have sharp burrs, and my hands or the pocket I stick them in are not going to get torn up. May 23, 2015
