Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by They work Bought these to replace my Tektons. No comparison. They work as they should. The tips could be a little more durable as mine showed signs of wear after 3 snap rings. Mind you, the rings were a decent size of about 1/2"-3/4" so they had some tension on them. Unless the tips snap, then I'll grind them to be a little thicker than the original. Docking one star due to the fact that the pliers' jaws being square made it really difficult to get to a snap ring 1/2" inside a tube. I'm pretty sure if they were round I wouldn't have had an issue. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Great product. But hey it's a channel lock! Work excellent on all my projects. That required lock ring removal and installation. Having multiple size tips is great. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excelent product The pliers were sturdy and able to remove a very strong retaining ring with no problem, were as other pliers failed May 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonable Rescue ! Wow in the nick of time.Broke the needles off my old pair at 4:45 pm quitting time. Grabbed these because of brand name and extra tips. I am impressed with the inner and outer clip ability at a flip of switch. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product I used this to remove some snap rings on my cars air compressor. It did a great job and was very easy to switch between internal and external rings. It also comes with multiple pins (90°, 45°, straight, etc...) for different applications. They are a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. The others I purchased from an automotive store didn't hold up at all. April 12, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't work for my Job trying to remove an inner ring on a timing chain tensioner theres too much give so they wont tighten the ring enough to get it out. I tried all the tips The pliers close to zero until under real pressure of the clip. Then it doesn't close all the way. tried tightening the pliers to take out the give; helped a little but not enough. disappointed. its a good concept and probably works for most jobs; just not mine February 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth the price I bought a cheap set of retaining ring pliers at a discount freight store after seeing the price on these. I just wanted to have them on hand when needed, since I had to borrow my dad's the last time. When the need finally came, I couldn't use the cheap ones because the tips were too fat to fit in the clips. Out of the multiple tips provided, none would work. I attribute it to low quality metal needing to be thicker for strength. I bought the Channellocks, as I should have in the first place. And they did the job. Why don't I listen to myself when I tell my kids to never buy cheap tools? December 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great set of pliers Invaluable tool for anyone who fixes any appliance around the home. Your alternative is not fun. You need a pair of retaining ring pliers if you want to do the job correctly otherwise you can bend the ring and possibly damage your appliance. These are quality pliers, the alternatives are very cheap "One time use tools" These are pricey in comparison but well worth it in the long run. These are one of my favorite tools! January 2, 2014
