Yes this grill does come woth a second shelf that mounts about 4 inches above the primary grill shelf. I had a 4 burner Kennmore and it didn't last long, and I had to hva parts made for it because Sears didn't have replacement parts for it. My new grill is very user friendly and works great, I'm glad I purchased this grill.

Nope! Approx 2 hrs for assembly (even though book say 45 minutes/it took that long just to open and sort out the pieces). It is easy to assemble but lots to do and it just needs to be followed very closely in order not to have to back track.

Answer:
No, actually comes with quite a lot of parts and somewhat low quality instructions. With a crecent wrench, phillips screw driver, some patients and a lot of time. Most people can eventually assemble this Grill. One finished it is of prety good design and quality. I call the instructions low quality because they get the job done, but they are at times a little confusing.

NO! It comes in a box containing a booklet of instructions and a zillion pieces. My husband is very skilled with tools and it took him a solid 3 1/2 to put this baby together. All the parts were there and the instructions were "okay" but it's not for everyone.

No, it does not. It has, what seems like, 100 pieces to put together. I think the instructions list about 25 steps to getting everything together, and in each instruction are multiple, smaller instructions.

No it does not. You can get one from your local home depot store. I measured out the grill size and purchased a generic grill cover that can accommodate a grill up to 65". The measurements of the grill itself are about 63" wide and 24" deep.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good grill For some, assembly might be a nightmare. For me, it was a fun project. The instructions aren't the best, but they're pretty good. You just REALLY have to pay close attention to the details. Don't skip ahead at all. It took me about 3 hours, but I can definitely see why so many people complain about the assembly. Some of the structural pieces are a little weak. It's kind of rickety, but not terrible. I foresee having to tighten up screws every year or so. As far as its grilling abilities, it's great! It's very consistent. I recommend installing a thermometer on the lid. Overall, it's definitely worth the money. January 26, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good grill for the money. I have had this grill for a little over a year now. I have used it quite frequently over the last year, enough to go through multiple propane tanks. It has always been uncovered outside and I think that it has held up very well over the year. The only problem with it is the ignition switch broke the second time I used it. I tried to fix it but only damaged it worse. Not a big deal though as all I did was went out and bought a grill lighter for a couple of dollars and it lights up fine every time. May 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good beginner grill Nothing fancy, but gets the job done. Good for grilling food for a few people. One side gets hotter than the other. Side burner could be stronger. Tried to boil water for rice, after 10 minutes, water was only at 170. Using a smaller pan and placing pot directly on burner instead of supplied rack worked, but inconvenient. Not hard to assemble, took about two hours. You get what you pay for, decent grill if on a budget. June 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value It took a while to put the pieces together but once it was up it looked great. It's a medium-sized grill that's great for small patios. The cooking space is great, though the heat seemed to be uneven. I was able to place around 8-10 hamburger patties along with hot dogs and carne asada and placing them strategically on the grill resulted in perfection. There is also a top great for toasting bread or tortillas. The side burner helped to cook up the shrimp before slapping them on the grill. February 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great value, good performance I've only been using this for just over a week so asking for a review may be a little premature but I'll let you know what I know so far. Assembly took a while but wasn't difficult, just a lot of parts (and it was kinda fun!) Both igniters work the first time. All the food I've cooked has been cooked the way I like it. May 21, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK for the price but not very durable Bought this BBQ about two years ago but now have to buy a new grill. The part that's between the open flame and the grill has completely deteriorated; the metal is flaking and falling off in chunks. Since that's what protects the food from the open flame, we've got a limited area to cook, trying to avoid the holes, otherwise your food gets scorched. On the inside of the lid the paint is peeling and flaking off. We kept it covered so not sure why it's deteriorating so much. Pros: Was very glad to have a gas BBQ and it seemed like a good price. The metal grate (where you put the food) is in perfect shape, no rust or deterioration. And hey, it is an inexpensive grill; we were new to gas grilling and weren't sure if we would use it very often. Cons: Extremely difficult to assemble, try to get the store to do it for you. Auto-ignition stopped working after about a month. Even when it was new, the heat was very uneven--very hot in the middle, and very cool towards the edge. We could only use about the middle 1/3 of the grate. Also, no propane gauge; easy to run out of propane a couple of times in the middle of cooking. May 16, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It's not a grill, it's a kit! This is probably the smallest, and I thought simplest, grill that HD sells. And I expected that I'd likely have to attach the legs or whatnot due to efficient packaging. But it's a KIT! There seem to be hundreds of parts, and unclear instructions for putting them together with enclosed silly little tools. After spending hours unhappily struggling with it, I gave up, and wrote off the $100 or so, since I'd already discarded the box and wouldn't know how to return it without the box. I'll buy an assembled grill next year at a local store! I'll consider it a "learning experience." I guess I'm just not "handy" enough to be a Home Depot customer. September 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXACT SAME GRILL 3 YEARS LATER We grill 2-3 times per week. We got the side burner only as a back up for the loss of power that may follow a hurricane -NEVER have used it. After 3 plus years of use the burner deteriorated as they all tend to do. The shield over the burner was also well deteriorated. (We cover the grill ALWAYS and I wonder if that helps or hurts.) At any rate this grill was priced so low with free shipping it was a better deal than buying a new burner and shield to replace in the old one - and then what have the ignitor fail?? We got our $$$ worth - nothing fancy but grills a great steak, burger or chicken. December 10, 2014
