This is a decent, solid grill for the money. It's not the easiest thing to put together. It's versatile, fits in tight spaces, and easy to use. It can kick out a lot of heat for such a small grill. It can be a pain to clean if you really want to get down in the guts to do so, but I have yet to find a grill that isn't. It looks nice and stows away easily.

The store had it assembled, so I just had it loaded into my vehicle and drove it home. It heats up fast, the four wheels makes it so easy to move and its easy to turn the gas tank on and off from the front. Its just so cute! It's big enough to grill for company or just one or two. I love it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jlhamilton Best grill I have owned
After quite a bit of deliberation, I finally decided to purchase this grill to replace my old, rusty one. I had room, but no longer wanted a big grill to lug around one of those big monsters that I really never made use of. This has got to be the best grill I've ever owned! Just enough size and fires up immediately, no hassles. And the flavor of the food is outstanding! I mean it's just a grill, right? There shouldn't be any difference, but there is. Never has steaks and chicken this good. Before grilling was a hassle and the food was smokey and dry. But this is great. My wife and I are trying to eat healthy and fry less. So far, I've been grilling almost every night.
I have a small car, too, so I couldn't get one pre-assembled. But it was easy to do. The whole top is one piece and everything fit together nicely. I would highly recommend it!

After 3 years the whole fire box rotted out and made this grill unusable . Called Char Broil for assistance and was told they can cover the burners only and i would have to buy all the other parts to repair this piece of junk . I just thought that people should know what to expect in the future.

We have only had the opportunity to use this grill a few times. Living in a small apartment complex this grill is perfect for our patio! 30,000 BTU's is plenty of heat. Having the thermostat on top helps not to get too hot. And it does get hot quickly! It's been great on everything we have done. I did buy a cover, thicker one with Velcro strips at bottom. Very nice and heavy duty. Glad I did the research on our grill.

I have a very small balcony on my condo and wanted a grill that would perform well and have a small footprint. This fit the bill perfectly. Assembly was incredibly easy. A single phillips head screwdriver is all you need. Took less than an hour and I was ready to gril.
I turned it on and gets real hot real fast. there are two burners but they're connected by a bridge in the front so you're going to tend to get a little hotter up front than the back BUT I think this will be great to get a nice sear on meat. The cooking grills are heavy cast iron with a porcelain coating and seem to be well made. There's also a drip cup inside that's kind of a pain to reach but not too bad. I haven't had to try it out yet but so far it looks and works great.
My one negative is a large propane canister doesn't fit through the front door, it needs to be placed in through the back opening, not ideal but the casters on this work amazing! So easy to roll.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jakomos replaced our old one with this one.
i chose this unit yesterday. i really wanted to go with the infrared model, but that price wasnt in the cards for the same size and what our needs are.
there is just my wife and i and size does matter. this unit is small, perfect for our red brick patio. assembly took half an hour. some of the screws were hard to place, tight areas for big fingers and knuckles. wasnt too much of a hassle, but the unit base is a bit flimsy as is the door, so i knocked a star on quality for that reason. still a five-star value, though for the price. i grilled a couple of burgers last night and it was super easy. our old char broil was a few years old when we had it and had a burner out. we've used it for 5+ years and it has served us well for what it was. the ignition never worked on it, we had to adopt the drop-a-match-stick method, and the base basin was rusted out because we never covered it because it was free. it leaked whenever we cooked. we grilled this past weekend and decided it was time for a new one. all this to say, char broil worked for about ten years so we are going that route again.
i couldnt fit it in my little aveo, so i took it out of the box and put the chassis in the trunk and the rest of the unit in the back seat. i took the parts out back when i got home and assembled it in half an hour or so with only a phillips screw driver.
i cooked last night a couple of burgers and they were awesome. the ignition was effortless and the lid isnt too heavy for my wife. she loves it too.

After checking out all of the best selling two-burner standard grills, I purchased this Classic C-22G1 for one main reason: Most of its competitors had solid cabinets that surrounded the propane tank on the front and both sides, meaning that you have to pull the grill away from a wall and turn it around to turn the tank valve on and off. This is a silly design that Char-broil's C-22G1 remedies with a front door, providing easy access to the valve.
It does have all of the flimsy-material and other design flaws noted here, plus a few others no one has mentioned:
1. The grease cup is very hard to reach and remove without risking a grease spill all over the propane tank just below it. Could be remedied by a slope inside the box that send the grease to an easier-to-reach spot away from the tank.
2. The range of temperature control is fairly narrow and hard to control, both because the knob arc from high to low is only about a quarter turn, and also because there are four "rings" of additional burner holes that wrap around each burner tube that pump out huge yellow flames even under the lowest temp setting. Home Depot assembled my grill, so I didn't notice the extra holes until they created big flares of flame after turning it on. I shut it down immediately and removed a burner and inspected it to see the holes are designed-in and not cracks/flaws. Would be very helpful to mention or show the extra burner holes in the product manual and explain their purpose vs. just the side holes.
3. No cooking tool hooks on the grill - just a set of holes on the side platform through which most will be able to install small S-hooks that can hold any tool you need.
4. One other item - grill lid shows every drip, smudge mark and fingerprint, so it's not easy to keep clean - see photo.
