How to turn the burner on

Asked by: Anonymous
Same as every grill I've had. One of the four burners is the "Ignition burner". Turn on gas at tank, then at this burner. Press button on piezoelectric ignition on front panel and grill lights.

If I have the grill shipped to the store, will they assemble for free?

If not, is there a charge to assemble?
Asked by: Bitman
My local store assembled and delivered free. Policy may vary by location so check with your local store manager first.

Pictures of grill

Are the pictures of the grill accurate? I am specifically referring to the second picture that the grill itself being the stainless steel metal bars.
Asked by: Greg
Grill hood and front panel (behind burners) are stainless. Rest is black enamel. Grill racks in mine are ceramic-coated cast iron. I actually prefer them to the stainless steel bars I had on my last grill. They clean more easily.

Customer Reviews

Classic 4-Burner Propane Gas Grill with Side Burner is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 61.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good and bad After a year the thermometer stopped working. After 3 years the grates were rusted through and I replaced them, it only took a little over 2 years for the replacement grates to rust out. The grill has been covered and protected the whole time. My of the internal parts rusted out in 2 years and I replaced them. I have rebuilt the grill twice. I really like the grill but the materials it is made out of are not the best. I'm really debated on to re build it again but the parts cost close to what a new grill would be. Its lasted almost 6 years, if it had better materials it would last much longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid it like the plague After owning this grill for 4 years, and keeping it covered, the internals completely just rotted away. Water never entered the grill, so I don't know what kind of materials they use to produce this grill, but it is a complete waste of money. Even the "drip hoods" that keep food grease off of the burners just fell apart like dust.... they literally look like they've been underground since the jurassic era, and Charbroil wants over $100 to replace the four of them. Garbage.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed in this grill We have owned this grill for three years, and we are very disappointed with the quality. Parts are rusting out very quickly on the bottom of the grill. Same with the grates. We had a smaller Charbroil grill prior to this that lasted us a solid 10 years. I cannot see this grill lasting nearly that long.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great grill for the price I got this grill about 7 years ago and it has been great. The ignition system still works, all the parts are still attached and overall functioning pretty well. I have had similar problems as others had described there is some rust on the grates, the burners are just starting to rust through, I replaced the heat shields above the burners once but those things get exposed to a lot of heat that weakens the metal. I live in Washington state, I keep the grill outside and uncovered believe it or not it will last a lot longer uncovered. Those covers don't keep 100% of the moisture out but they are very good at trapping it in. $250 for 7 years of use, I feel that I got my money's worth.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rust Collector I have owned this grill for 4 years. It is covered when not in use. The grates rusted away. The drip pan rusted so much that it finally just fell off. About a year after buying it the thermometer quit working. This grill is poorly made and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Here's to hoping the Brinkman grill I bought last week lasts a lot longer than this heap of rusted metal.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Completly rusted out after 4 years I have owned this grill for 4 years. It has been covered the whole time. I just had one of the burner burn through and when I went to inspect it, I found that all of the parts are completly rusted out. To use this grill again I would need to replace 4 burners, 4 cross over tubes and 4 flame deflectors. This part list add up to nearly the price of the grill. I will be looking for a new grill this week and it won't be a Charbroil grill

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy This grill has been covered and cleaned. We have had it a couple of years. The main burner pipe has rusted through--two inch gap. None of the other burners will work because of this. The ignition never worked on the first or second turn. The cover plates all rusted through last year. The grills are all rusty. The burners never lit up or heated evenly, so we always had to use two on one side. Junk.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money I bought this grill 4 years ago and it was kept with a cover in the garage during winter time. Second year it started to get rusted and ignition stopped working. Third year one half of the burners did not work and on the fourth year both burners and flame tamers totally melted away. To replace all parts it would cost me almost $300.00 and I am not about to spend another penny on this garbage. And it was not cheap to invest $$$ that really lasted one year.
