Rated 2 out of 5Â by Deno Not sure who to fault Home Depot or Charbroil
I understand charbroil bought out Oklahoma Joe awhile back, but this smoker is nowhere near the quailty off the original. Soon as I opened the box I knew I had issues. The lid is very uneven and very warped, the bars the lid rest on is so poorly welded it a shame, there are gaps everywhere, the door does not sit flush. The only good thing I can say about this smoker is that it's thick and will hold heat but only after you make a few modifications, which for the 532 dollars you ahould have to... please see my mini video review.

I have had this smoker for approx. 3 months. I followed the instructions to assemble it and had a helper, went together in about 30 minutes. During the break in smoking session, I noticed a few small leaks around the fire box and main cooking chamber. It does hold the heat/smoke in great.
I have used it almost every weekend since the purchase. I have smoked pork butt roast, turkeys, trout, salmon, pheasants, pork/beef ribs. This smokers is the next step for the amateur smoker, who wants to hone their skills. I recommend this to all a great product for the $$$

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DRKAIA Great for Smoking & Grilling
I've had the Longhorn Smoker up and running for about a week and a half now. I've grilled flawless steaks and pork chops, I've smoked some venison jerky and I have some pork ribs smoking as I type. So far everything has been great. Some assembly required is something I look forward to and I had no trouble assembling the grill. I did get a helper when it came time to line up and attach the fire box assembly, because of the weight, but other than that it' was a no brainer. All the parts were there and I had a fire going and was seasoning the unit within about an hour after opening the box. It does have a few leaks around the doors but nothing unexpected. It is after all a smoker not a vacuum chamber. This smoker is a replacement for an older smaller Charbroil unit of similar construction. The old one lasted about 10 years before the bottom developed a whole. I expect this one to last just as long, it is very solid. I opted for the fee shipping and it arrived one week to the day after I ordered it. It would have been a day sooner but I missed the delivery confirmation call. Buy with confidence.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Ironswede Love this smoker! Maintains a constant 225-250 and is perfect for smoking ribs, or Boston butts when you maintain the firebox every 2 hours or so. Can't wait to do a brisket in it!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by rtn01 cooks good but needs to be changed.
Having cooked for over 25 years on a 500 gal. cooker I needed a small one for the house and could not find what I wanted until this one. My only complant is that the vent stack for the cooking area is mounted to high and to much heat is lost. The stack should at or below the level of the cooking grate. This would keep more heat in the cooking area and use less fuel or a smaller fire. As it is most of the heat goes up the stack without even comming close to the meat. I am having mine modifed. The thermometeris in the top and if you place one on the cooking grate the temp is much lower than the factory installed one. Its not even close.
